This product is poorly designed. The actual leader straightening material is not leather. It is a soft synthetic material that 0X leader material easily sliced when the two flaps were squeezed together and the leader was pulled between them. Repeated use will almost certainly result in multiple slices making the product unusable. Also, while not a functional issue, the thin coat of "brass" paint on the metal component rubs off easily. I question whether this product was designed by someone who fly fishes, or, at least, was tested in on the stream use.
