Purchased this molding specifically for installing lights. It is light weight and very easy to install. Comes with corner cuts already and if you need to cut and splice together, very easy to do so. Hangs with caulk and sticks very well. If you want lights in a room and don't want to see them, this molding is AWESOME! I highly recommend. The seller was very pleasant and tried saving money on shipping and stayed in contact with me. AWESOME product.

Product arrived intact. Very lightweight (foam) and easy to work with. I have an 1800s house and this product has the flexibility to mimic the ceiling line. Easy to install with a few dots of glue. Shelf for LED light is very convenient. Satisfied with purchase.

This is a nice product. Installed these in my 14yr old's room as a crown molding for LED backlighting. Very easy to install! Sticks to the wall with painters caulking just like it says in the instructions

Definitely not as easy to install as they lead to believe but I gotta done no problem. Great product. Use stucko to fill in and sand down fill in areas.

My husband doubted me in the decision to add crown molding and LED lighting to my bathroom update project. I’ve installed baseboards but never crown and these were so easy and lightweight I did the entire project alone.I painted 1 coat of ultra pure white, then I added reflective tape. I measured where the LED cord needed to feed through and cut a channel and fed the cord through to drop down to the outlet. I eventually hid the cord with a cord hider.Using basic Alex caulk as instructed and it literally took 15 minutes to install the molding. No nails needed. Using a level, I made sure everything was where it needed to be which was about 2” down from the ceiling.The next day when I was sure the caulk dried, I installed the LED strips. Again this process was very quick using Geeni smart light strips that I bought here on Amazon. That way I can control them using Alexa or a Phone app. What I didn’t count on was that the light strip’s controller/transmitter was fairly large and stuck up above the molding and could be seen from the floor level. As a result I got my utility knife and dug a large hole inside the molding so I could tuck away the transmitter. It should be noted that this process was fairly difficult because The moldings were already installed and I had only 2” to work in. I used quite a bit of pressure to dig that hole and a sharp blade and even then the molding was tough. I really had to use a lot of force. Not only did the molding stay in place, it held up quite well. It was only with persistence and a lot of sweat that I got that hole dug. So these may be Styrofoam but they are durable, high density and tough. They look amazing and now I have a lot of beautiful ambient light in my bathroom that I can control with voice commands and my husband is very impressed.I didn’t have to caulk the bottom but I chose to use Insta trim bought here on Amazon for a nice clean line because my walls are imperfect.These moldings look absolutely gorgeous in my tiny bathroom and they don’t look like foam at all; they look like the real deal. I did have some gaps where two pieces met but used the same caulk to fill in the gaps, then painted to create a totally seamless look. My husband keeps walking in and commenting on how great it looks. Guess whose bathroom is next.

Excellent product. I installed this crown molding in a bedroom as a trial run for ambient cove lighting in my future home. I am happy to say that it looks great and was very easy to install. I work as a technician who routinely runs wires for audio, video, and surveillance equipment. The hidden cavity in the back of this molding can be very useful in such projects. Nobody likes to look at wires stapled across the ceiling and this molding provides a very attractive and creative way of doing surface wire runs. Also, the company has been great at assisting me along this process. They were very easy to contact and quickly replied to my online inquiries. They seem very attentive to detail and dedicated to providing great customer service.
