Creative Grids rulers are among the best you can get. This ruler is fabulous! It was purchased used but arrived in such perfect condition, all wrapped, including the directions, it seemed brand new. I’d recommend this ruler to any quilter!

Creative Grids always makes the best quilting rulers, and this one is a great one to add to my collection. Instructions and video tutorial provide clear instructions for making perfect half square triangles in several sizes without ever cutting a single triangle. This one is a different shape from the smaller square cats cradle ruler. I would recommend this ruler. I would also suggest making practice units in the various sizes to make necessary adjustments before cutting expensive fabric.

I used this ruler to make cat's cradle blocks for a sampler quilt I am working on. The pattern said to cut a bunch of squares, cut them into triangles, and then sew all those bias edges together. Just reading them made me nervous! I used this ruler and my cat's cradle units turned out perfectly and were so easy to make. Just remember that the finished sizes listed on the ruler are the size the unit will be after it's sewn into the quilt.

Watch the video on YouTube as Deb Heatherly demonstrates how to use this tool to make a cat’s cradle block. I’ve had two people ask if they could buy my quilt that I made with this and it’s not for sale. A great way to make something that looks complicated.
