I was bummed when I misplaced my previous pair. I ordered these right away. I use them constantly. But the quickest way to find something you lost is to buy a new one. And that’s what happened, I found my original pair as soon as Amazon said “out for delivery”. Now I have a backup pair.

Excelente alicate. Corta cabos como manteiga. Único ponto negativo é a boca do alicate que não abre muito, mas por ser um alicate de bico no qual só uso em lugares estreitos e para pegar coisas pequenas, não me atrapalha em nada.

Best pliers I've used to date. Super comfortable, survives abuse, and as a customer of Crescent for almost 10 years, I know these will stand up to the test of time. Money well spent.

Easy to use one-handed because of the spring in the hinge. Excellent leverage for stronger pinch or grip. Ergonomic rubber grip handle. When I open my tool chest (which is extra large), most of the time it’s just so I can use this baby.

If I ever lose these, I have to get another pair. But I miss the gray/blue handle version as it was a better rubber material.

Really great tool especially considering the cost, has a comfortable and sturdy grip handle and strong nose. I have used it a few time for simple maintenance work and am now going to buy the rest of the range it’s that good. Definitely recommend!

The teeth are pretty soft for ‘heavy duty’ pliers. First day, I used them to bend 14ga metal wire. The wire was stronger than the teeth. It gave me the grip strength I need, the cutters did fine, but the teeth marred too easily for heavy duty. I would look for pliers that are forged. Also, the lock wouldn’t move easily without a little bit of machine oil (no big deal) and removing a bit of the grip handle with a razor blade. I guess you really do have to spend $40+ to get a quality pair of pliers these days.Edit: been using it for a year, still holding up. Nothing crazy but a convenient and reliable tool. I use it mostly to quickly snap #6-32 bolts these days and for that, it’s great.

I have purchased four of these - one for myself and three as gifts. All have been magnificent. But the most recent one actually broke in two. I'm sure that is a fluke, but am dismayed that I can see no way to return for a refund. If Amazon or the manufacturer read this review please advise me on procedures for a replacement. The usual button fro return is not present for this item.

These pliers are amazing. Purchased this pair after losing my other pair I have used for years and years servicing boilers.......probably will find them next year while servicing a boiler lolThe compound action gives you a lot greater gripping strength than regular needle nose pliers.I have cut wire(10-24awg), steel wire mesh, screws, lots of other random things. Most used to hold the head of boiler burner screws to use a wire brush wheel on my dremel to clean the underside of the screw heads for good grounding. My only complaint is the ones I recieved were red & dark gray instead of blue & silver/gray like my last pair and I'll have to get used to reaching for the red pliers.....I know....first world problems.......

I have good tools in the truck and great tools in the shop. Why? Tools in the truck get lost and abused much more. Knipex pliers rule, but the next best are these compound action types. I bought the Dewalt version a few months ago, and was so impressed that I wanted to buy another pair. I saw these branded as Crescent and bought them, assuming they came from the same Chinese factory. Upon closer inspection these look and operate with less precision, more "chinese" like. When the jaws squeeze shut, the wire cutters don't align. This means they are useless as wire cutters. The compound leverage still delivers impressive bite, but the serration on the gripping surfaces are soft, sloppy, and don't interlock. The stamped handles have a curve that don't feel good in my hand, and flex more than the Dewalt.Still a good value, I highly recommend compound action long nose pliers for countless tasks that don't require extreme precision. The size to power ratio is perfect for most common jobs, especially with my big hands. I would have given it 4 stars if I had not purchased the Dewalt first, and 5 star tools almost invariably hail from Germany or the US at twice or more the price.
