Well they operate, that’s the only good thing I can say. You are supposed to be able to change the tone , but you can’t. As is it’s very loud and is only a beep. Sound very fake and nothing like a cricket.

They were held up at customs for 2 weeks. So shipping was slow. They included batteries but they stop working after a few hours. Not even an entire day. Also they cycle through the sounds and can’t be set to a single sound.

Planted one in my daughter's house, a few days later I helped her hunt for the noise, it's still there! HAHA

These Yoveccy Cricket Noise Maker Prank (6 Pcs) are a pretty funny way to play a practical joke on someone or even many people. I really enjoy practical jokes, and this tiny beeping circuit board can be lots of fun. Though the cricket sound is actually a little off, sounding slightly artificial to the joke player, it might sound good enough to the joke target because they wouldn't know that a circuit board is creating the sound at random time intervals. Batteries and double-stick tape pads are included with the boards so they are ready to go upon arrival. Other single-tone beeping sounds are selectable, but I prefer the cricket.

This is a classic! The annoy-a-tron is almost as old as the interwebs. This one is pretty loud. It is quite a bit larger than the original models, but not too big. It is still perfectly hideable, and there are double sided sticky patches provided. Batteries are included as well. This updated version has an on-off knob as well, which is pretty handy. When you turn it on it will provide a chirp to let you know it's alive. After that, you just wait.... Muahahahaha evil grin.

These are surprisingly loud, I've had other annoying PCB's before and they're lackluster in their volume... not these. The noises could use some work, but they work and they're super easy to use. The PCB and components actually look really well-made and soldered. They have included batteries and a double-sided tape patch that makes attaching these pretty easy. I'd love to see some with magnets, because I LOVE hiding these in work computers. They're pretty random, and so far the couple I've put to work are still going strong.

I bought this cricket noise maker set specifically to pull a harmless prank on my coworkers, and I'm impressed with how well it worked. The sound is so true to a real cricket that everyone spent half the day searching under desks and in storage closets, convinced there was actually a cricket loose in the office. The beeping is subtle enough that it blends into the background, but just loud enough to get under people’s skin. Setting them up was straightforward, and each unit is small enough to hide easily.I've tried novelty sound prank gadgets in the past, but this one stands out for how realistic it is. The batteries are still going strong after several days, so the claim of long-lasting is accurate so far. If you’re someone who enjoys lighthearted office fun or wants to prank friends at home, this kit delivers exactly what it promises. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add some laughter to their day.
