Video is worthless and so are instructions. You have to first unlock the caps to open the ends up. It tells you to do this on the last step yet you are to open them on the first step. The caps do not open on the ends either with your thumbs. You have to pry the top of it out to get them to open. It does not tell you where to position them on the car. You need to find a YouTube video. Also says they have 24 hr support in the picture. There is no phone number to call or web site so not sure how you are going to get support. Good luck!

I have a 2018 GLC43 AMG and we were taking a week long vacation to the beach and wanted to carry some stuff in a roof carrier shell we used for years on our Jeeps. The Mercedes came with roof rails, but not the cross bars. This was a good price and looked good so I sprung for it. I was curious how it would mount because the roof rails don't have any openings for this to bolt onto. When I mounted these cross rails, they are a clamp fit with one clamp jaw that curves in to fit an indentation on the rack. I was a little concerned about it being mounted securely. But the hex bolts were able to tighten the clamps firmly onto the rack and the clamps did not distort, which would indicate cheap metal. When mounted I attached our EsCargo clamshell roof carrier and loaded it with about 70 pounds of gear and headed out for a 6 hour drive to the beach. This performed flawlessly. When we got to the beach house, I removed the clamps from the car and lifted the whole thing, cross bars and clamshell off in one piece. When we left the beach house, put the whole thing back onto the Mercedes and it was just as easy. Total time was about 45 minutes to attach and test to make sure it wasn't going anywhere after the requisit slap and the utterance of "this isn't going anywhere"
