These guys arrived quickly at a pretty good value, had i purchased them. All the hardware is in the package, and the rings are durable. Will buy more if needed.

Ok, to start out I am an experienced horse owner, and I know my horses. So, my 3-star rating is because I know that this product is to be used on a 1000 +/- lb animal with a mind of their own. There are WAY better and WAY safer X-ties out there, so think about who and what and how good of quality you will be needing before buying and attaching your animal to this set. I haven't used X-ties on my horses for years but thought it would be nice to have a set should I want to have them, which is why I picked up this set. If I end up using them more frequently, I will definitely pick up a better set. I suggest reading all the reviews on this set before purchasing. As stated by someone already, the screws are way too short to hold a horse that wants to get out of being tied, so that is easy to fix by using longer screws. Someone mentioned that they wrapped the ties where they folded so there wasn't the gap - I will definitely be doing that as a horse could easily get hung up in that opening (see photos where this loop is close to the head). The clips seem like good quality clips so that is a major plus. The nylon webbing isn't that heavy duty so could easily get frayed or destroyed, over time and use. This is a great starter set - depending on the horse. I have one mare that will never be hooked with these ties, but I know from previous experience she doesn't cross tie. So, know your animal, and no where you are installing this set and be cautious. I will say that I loved the fact that they were very adjustable as the only place I could safely attach them was quite a bit of a distance and this cleared that with room to spare. I will say that I am happy with my purchase, I would say that it is a good price point for what you get.

This is a great cross tie set for equestrians looking for a complete kit for their barn. The included hardware feels solid and high quality, and was relatively easy to mount. The cross tie cables themselves have good action on the clasps and the material doesn't feel too stiff or weak. You need that fine line between solid for safety, without worrying about the horse being able to break away outside of an emergency situation, and this kit nails it for me.

They are just okey, nylon is thin, the hardware doesn't seem quality, super cheap and weak. It would work just to get you by but not a long term item.

This is a nice set of cross ties that come with the D-ring hooks for installing as well. The nylon webbing is of medium weight. It's a good weight for cross ties. It's heavy but not too heavy. It's got the matte finish, not shiny and slippery like some nylon webbing is. I think that the flatter finish is less slippery and easier to work with around horses. The snaps... two stainless steel snaps per cross tie strap. One is a bull snap and the other is a breakaway snap. They are also medium weight. I prefer this weight, because if your horse is setting back, those heavy snaps can be like shrapnel ready to bean you/your horse in the teeth, head or eyes. We're all looking for the sweet spot of "strong enough to hold the horse under most circumstances, but strong enough to break before the horse hurts itself." I think these hit that sweet spot. The strap length is very adjustable. You could hang these in a big barn aisle or a more standard cross tie area. I am working outside with post cross ties, so I will be making these fairly short and putting braiding bands along them to keep the strap from gaping open where it's doubled up.Attaching to the posts or poles: The D rings are provided. This is another nice touch for this set. The only shortcoming with this set of crossties is that I think that the screws are fairly short for holding tight if the horse is setting back. I actually will not be using these D rings for my cross ties, because my cross ties already have bolt screws that go all the way through the post. I think this screw length is pretty standard, so I'm leaving my 5 star review and can recommend these cross ties for you in your barn.
