This little glass prism cube is a joy to play with. It's not a serious photography tool, but it doesn't need to be. It's a fun way to add some personality and creativity to your photos. I've used it to shoot through during scenes, like in the product pictures, and it gives this neat pixelation effect that makes everything look kind of like a digital mosaic. It works best with bright or focused light sources. Christmas lights, flashlights, or direct sunlight all give it a really fun look. It's also just a cool little decorative piece to keep around the house when you're not using it.The glass feels solid and hand-cut. Definitely not something you want to drop, but it’s easy to hold and hasn't felt slippery or awkward at all. Smudges happen, but a quick wipe with my shirt is usually enough to keep it clean. It came exactly as expected in terms of size and look. I think anyone who enjoys taking pictures or playing with light and texture in their photography would really like this. It also makes a great little gift. I’ve had a great time messing around with it and plan to keep it nearby for whenever inspiration strikes.

It's a neat little cantrip type of thingie, but honestly, it would be better and more useful, as a photographer, if it were larger.

Very fun little piece of glass, i just wish it was bigger. This is really fun to play around with especially if you have a camera to use it with too.It works as a great filter for a webcam. looks great on stream and almost makes a privacy filter like effect. Its more fun outside though and I love how it makes the landscape look.Very fun piece of glass.

This is a cool little cube that quantizes your surroundings making it look kind of pixelated like minecraft or 8-bit art in the past. I find its more helpful than a digital filter because I can change the view by moving my arm closer/away from the subject to find the sweet spot (usually about a half to full arm length way). Kids would likely love this if they are into minecraft and/or photography. Even holding against your eye and pretending to be a robot is fun.It could also make for a fun photography class assignment where each student is assigned the cube and left to their creativity, or taught what principles make using the cube work best. I was shooting with just my phone camera and found the exercise pretty fun. It seems like outdoors, mixes of colors and well lit areas help make better photos from my experiments. Macro setups would likely need careful lighting to avoid a grid of shadows. The glass prism cube itself is of good quality and seems like its pretty durable. It has a concave on each side, one "horizontal" and one "vertical" that helps create the grid effect. It's light and quite portable if you are traveling and have a shot in mind. You will likely need to crop the picture (depending on the desired effect).

This is a pretty unique element to add to your photos, each facet isn't perfectly smooth as you can see some small grooves which makes this a little less clear, but it's still very pretty and unique

As most, I'm sure, I saw this idea originally from an artist online who made the concept as a sort of 8-bit conversion piece, but any versions of it being sold were exorbitantly high prices. I saw this and figured I'd give it a review, and it's pretty neat! From what I can tell, it seems to be some sort of machined resin or something of the sort, so not glass like the original, but it works just as well. Honestly, not much else to say about it, but a nice thing to have and pick up every once in a while!

It is small enough to take with me. The effect is pretty cool. I actually had a good time for the first few minutes just holding it up to my eye and looking at stuff. I like the shots with it with a lot of compression as well as ones with a lot of separation. I like this a lot better as a physical item instead of just a digital effect. It also looks great in my camera gadgets cabinet.
