I got this colorful crystal growing science kit as an advent gift for my grown daughter, and she had so much fun with it! Well, my child tore out all the rocks trying to locate the pink one, but we had a lot of fun looking at the rocks, trying to match it, and growing the crystals. The only caution I have would be that these are choking hazards so it's best to give it to an older child.

This is our second kit we have purchased and I cannot say enough good about it. I cracked it open to have a look before stashing it for the holidays. The polished stones range in between a nickle to a quarter in size. and the rough cut ones are larger than that. I can't speak to the gem growing portion of the kit since we are tucking it away for christmas, but the rest of the kit is really nice. It even has a half a geode. My national geographic kit last year was actually lame in comparison. The stones were smaller than this one.

I really like this for my little girl as she loves stones/ crystals but with her leaning it would have been great to know which day was which stone as it can be hard to tell which one is which.

This is a great advent kit that has gemstones and also crystal growing activities. My 6 year old was really excited to grow the crystals. I used this kit to countdown to an event instead of Christmas. It’s easy to use, a good value for what you get and was lots of fun for my kid.
