Cuts wood just fine... but... really dangerous to use. Be extra careful, because it kicks back really hard every time you try to stop if you are still on the wood you are trying to cut. Maybe wear some armor when using. I used it to cut down some tree roots sticking up in my yard, worked great... but scared me half to death. Thought I was gonna chop a leg off.

I've tried all of the other angle grinder wood grinders attachments to grind down small stumps. This one works bests and lasts longest.

First and foremost follow ALL safety recommendations made by others. Like a chain saw or a wood chipper just one mistake could result in serious injury or worse.I used it to grind down to dirt level about 20 tree stumps of various wood types (many were hardwood) and diameters. It worked quite well. One has to have patience. If you have a battery angle grinder use your largest battery and have plenty of batteries ready for each session.It fit my 4.5” Ryobi and left lots of room so that sawdust and chops would not clog the guard.

If you want to remove wood fast this is the one to get. The "teeth" wrap around the edges just a little so this head works very well compared to another one very similar to it. You have to be very careful using it because with a powerful angle grinder this head can be extremely dangerous. As a friend of mine that works in a factory said, they think the angle grinder is one of the most dangerous tools in the plant. This head makes it doubly sol Be safe.

this thing cuts really well. you can really dig in and hog out some serious material fast, or you can just barely rest it down and it cuts nice and smooth, i tried the chainsaw wheels and the little carbide raspy ones also and this cuts so much better its not even a real comparison... this then some flap disks then orbital sander and done... no other wheels needed... its a heavy disk of a flywheel, which makes it both smooth and not lose RPM as easily... im just using it on an old worn out hitachi 4.5" angle grinder and it has plenty of power to hog out black walnut burl without slowing excessively... will see how long it lasts.. but even if i have to buy a new one for every project or two, the price makes that not a serious concern, especially when working with big slabs of black walnut... i carve seats and shape them to be benches.

I purchased this for getting a lawn mower blade eating black walnut stump below ground level since I didn't have to remove much, and it was much cheaper than renting a stump grinder. I worked, but it wasn't exactly fast on black walnut. Be very mindful that your grinder is more "saw" with this blade than it is "grinder", and that wood likes to grab tools and use them to do nasty things to you if you're not careful.Do:- Use the auxiliary handle on your grinder.- Set your grinder's guard to keep this blade the heck away from your leg when it kicks back- Cut on the right side of the blade- Wear heavy jeans (or better, chainsaw chaps if you have them)The Good:- Exactly what it says on the tinThe Bad:- If you don't wear appropriate clothes, it will give you a very bad day when it kicks back.- You want to use a paddle or trigger style grinder with this. Slide/latching switches reduce your safety margin with what is effectively a saw.The Meh:- Did not stay as sharp as I would have liked for as long as I would have liked.- Not suitable for the POS Horror Frought grinder I wanted to use it with and wound up using my DeWalt instead.

Eats through wood like butter. But, BE CAREFUL. Hold on to the grinder, use the screw in handle for a two handed grip and be careful of hitting Nails, stones, or metal that may be hidden in the wood. Or you might be in for a bit of an adrenaline rush and perhaps a trip to the ER.That said, it seems well built and does appear to have come through a nail strike without damage. To the cutter.
