Read the other negative reviews. My experience was the same as theirs. Used this for first time to do brakes on my buddy's car and this file ripped through the rust on the first couple surfaces. Sharp teeth dulled insanely quickly forcing me to move down the file to find more sharp teeth. By the time I finished one side, this file was essentially useless and I had to switch back to my old files. I don't do brakes very often, only for friends and family, and was really looking forward to speeding up a tedious part of a brake job. Now I'm mad at myself for not listening to the other reviews. Maybe mine was a lemon, but I can not recommend this product. Comfortable to handle though.

Cleansing caliper brackets as it should, this isn't intended to remove burrs or anything like that, does what it's supposed to.

Not worth the metal rhey heat treated it out of. Worked for 1 pair of caliper brackets then lost their cutting edge.

The CTA caliper file works really well. It removes rust from caliper slide areas quickly.

I have used the file multiple times on brake jobs with zero issues. It will knock rust down very quickly. For the price, it can't be beat.
