Updated to 3 stars for beautiful design; it really is beautiful by the fire in my living room!1 Star for beautiful design. 1 Star for the #1 size availability in Canada; Cauldrons here are either palm sized or giant fire pit cookers. This is a beautiful and perfect fit for its purpose as a fireside smudge pot for kindling. However, had I purchased this for cooking, it would be a return: Minus 1 Star for craftsmanship - chips all along lip, uneven chisel marks that look like they were left behind from a poor chiselling job by either hand or a machine in the bottom of the pot. Minus 1 Star for packaging - open plastic bag in a cardboard box, arrived visibly dirty, like they're being stored in a garage. Minus 1 Star for price - I purchased a skillet set (2 skillets) from Overmont. The shallower skillet can be used as a lid on the larger one. I LOVE it! And cook in it every day! It was almost half the price of this Cuisiland potje pot. ($60 for something that can actually be used for cooking as opposed to $105 for a kindling pot that, if I had time, could probably source for $20 in a thrift shop.

I have seen this be utilized on outdoor cooking shows so I ordered one. It arrived and I was impressed with its heft and wall thickness. While it comes pre-seasoned, I seasoned it with flax oil after heating it in a hot fire. It’s been over six months and no rust. I apply oil to it after each use. It’s large enough for 6-8 people (8 quart) and cooks very fine. I deep fry in it as well as make stews. I’ve accidentally dropped the lid on concrete a few times and it was undamaged. I could not find this long leg style at retail stores so I ordered it on Amazon. No regrets at all.

The most important part of the bottom of the pot is damaged. This pot is defective and cannot be used normally, which will stick to the bottom of the pot. It will soon break. We hope that the staff will insist on shipping it well and not waste everyone's time. I need to return it. Thank you

I’m a private chef and wanted this pot to make some proper South African food for my crew mates and this was what was received. The box I received it in was in fine condition so one can only assume this was sent as pictured. Waste of money and seller should be embarrassed.

It is well made and sturdy. I think it’s a good price for this size. I added a picture of a pop can inside it for a size reference. I also think it’s made beautifully and very aesthetically pleasing.

Sadly, I was terribly disappointed. This was a very heavy cast iron product. It was only in a card board package with No packing paper or stuffing of any kind! No wonder this heavy product was broken!
