I use this pan nearly every day to perfectly grill fish and sliced chicken/beef. The size is perfect for 1 to 4 portions. I used to use a cast iron skillet, but gave up on frequent cleaning. This pan can be soaked or placed in the dishwasher without rusting. I feel it is comparable to skillets costing much more.

This enameled grill pan has replaced a cast iron grill pan I have used for some years. It is much easier to clean and doesn't rust like my cast-iron pan.

Should have read the description better before purchasing. It's a lot smaller than I expected it to be, but it's well constructed and arrived in perfect condition. Will fit maybe 2 chicken breast halves or a large steak in the grill pan and it's pretty shallow, too. Grill lines and high enough to really get good grill marks and a nice sear on food, though. Great if you are only cooking for 1-2 people, but too small to be useful for larger meals.

We eat a lot of grilled fish in my house, well because we are pescatarians, so we pretty much grill, saute, or bake fish everyday. This grill pan is perfect, even on our glass top stove (it doesn't scratch it up - but then we don't go sliding it around back and forth like crazy people either, so if you're crazy...) and you can transfer if back and forth between the stove and oven as needed. The best thing though is how easily food comes off with a quick soak in the sink. If you just let it soak in the sink while you eat, by the time you're done and it's dishwashing time, that food comes right off, no scrubbing necessary (at least that's been our experience - but again, we're pescatarians so we're not cooking certain things in this pan).

This cast iron pan is great quality! Very good color and excellent size for small stove. This has replaced the outdoor BBQ in the winter months. Improved quality of meats cooking with this. Keep in mind that it does get very hot when cooking, so be careful when removing it from the heat. Easy to clean and maintain. The food does not stick and the interior does not wear off when cleaned. Follow the instructions about using a cooking spray, and it cleans up easily. This pan heats up in seconds, and it allows me to warm up frozen items. I use it almost daily. It's the perfect size for 2 or possibly 3 people depending on the size of the meat or veggies being grilled. Overall, a nice addition to the kitchen! I am happy I got this pan. The packaging was EXCELLENT!!! Highly recommend!

Neat little pan! Probably too small for a family, and could be pushing it for a couple, but for a single it's just right. Follow the instructions about using a cooking spray, and it cleans up easily. Works great on my glass-top range, so it should work fine on just about any other cooking surface. Keep in mind that it does get very hot when cooking, so be careful when removing it from the heat. Use oven mitts or something similar when grabbing the handle, and be mindful about where you set the pan to cool. It may be small in size, but being cast iron it does pack some weight. Overall, a nice addition to the kitchen!

I got this as a gift for my sister in law. It is gorgeous and it does the job. She made me some delicious steaks on it already and she thinks it's wonderful! I would suggest getting a grill cleaning tool to help with clean up, as cast iron is always difficult to clean when you're done. She treats it with a little canola oil when she's done cleaning and that seems to work great.

I've been wanting a cast iron grill pan for while now, but wanted to make sure I was getting the best deal. Recently when I had several items to purchase using Amazon's 4-for-3 promotion I decided this was the best time to get it. I went with the Cardinal Red because I already have the in the same color. Before my first use I followed the recommendations to wash it with a mild soap and dry immediately. I also seasoned it before cooking on it the first time to prevent sticking. Then last night I decided to cook up some top sirloins I had and being that the weather wasn't cooperating for the grill outdoors, this was the perfect solution. I like my steak well done, so it went into the pan first. One important thing to remember is to not turn it too soon; it needs to get a good sear otherwise it will stick. After mine had about fifteen minutes total in the pan, I moved it to the side and added the next one. Seven minutes on either side produced a perfectly cooked medium rare for the this one and by that time mine was perfectly well done. The grill pan gave not only beautiful looking grill marks, but also a great sear & crust.Clean up was easy for me, I waited for the pan to cool a bit then put it in the sink with some hot water to soak. About 10 minutes later with scour sponge it wiped clean and then I just rinsed and dried it for next time.I definitely think this pan will be getting regular use in our kitchen. It's the perfect size for 2 or possibly 3 people depending on the size of the meat or veggies being grilled.

The combination of the rough "non-stick" coating and the grill pan make it impossible to clean with any reasonable effort. I grilled a steak, having washed the pan first and seasoned it with oil, was careful to keep the heat low to prevent burning, but the sauce stuck to this pan. That was yesterday. I followed the Cuisinart directions for cleaning with no results. A combination of soaking overnight with dishwashing detergent, heat, and rubbing with a plastic scraper got 90% off but the rest is still there, and its still soaking a day later.A plain, smooth cast iron or enameled pan would have been clean a long time ago.
