It works better than the original! It is easier to get the lid to fit. Wish I would have replaced the bowl earlier!

For those who have a DLC-7 Pro, I can attest that this replacement 14 cup bowl fits both the machine base and bowl cover perfectly. After reading a lot of the reviews, I wasn’t sure if this replacement would work out. I’m thrilled to be able to keep my workhorse vintage Cuisinart, perhaps for another 40 years!!! A bit pricey for a plastic bowl but a new machine would never be comparable - so it’s worth it.

My Cuisinart DLC 14 cups is 28 years old! The motor has a 30-yr. guarantee. What wears out is plastic. Great that these parts continue to be available.

We have an older Cuisinart Food Processor, the DLC-7E. Its 14 cup work bowl was developing some linear cracks, so needed replacing.The Processor still works perfectly, so there was no need to replace it. I saw the "Extra Work Bowl" (DLC-005AGTX) on your web site; and decided to order it, hoping it would not only fit the base, but that the lid with plunger would fit as well. It was shipped as promised, and we received it one day before the scheduled delivery date. We couldn't be happier. Both the lid to the bowl and the base of the bowl to the processor fit perfectly.

A very small modification was required to get the old style top to engage the safety interlock mechanism. There is a narrow groove above the plunger where the lid rotates into to depress the plunger which activates a switch on the motor base allowing the motor to be turned on. The old style top needs a wider groove to activate the plunger when rotated into position. By simply cutting away a small plastic tab and making the groove wider, the old style top can be rotated into position and activate the plunger. Once this is done the lid rotates into the groove, depressing the plunger and you in business. Simple, works perfectely.

I'm writing this to help others seeking to replace the work bowl of their 20+ year old food processor as I was. I own the CuisinartDLC-7 Super Pro Food Processor. The DLC-005AGTX-1 work bowl, 14 cup was a perfect replacement for my cracked stock work bowl. The cover and sleeve assembly fit perfectly; I didn't have to purchase any other parts to make the new bowl work for me. Also, there were no modifications necessary to make the part work. Just a note, however. The new work bowl is clear, whereas the stock work bowl assembly has more of a brown tone to it. If you don't mind it not matching in appearance, this is an inexpensive fix. I am very happy with the part as it allowed me to save my old workhorse of a food processor and one that I really like. Though I can't attest to the fit on any other model, I hope this helps those that have the same model as I do.

After many many years of use, the thin plastic gizmo that allows the Cuisinart to work gave out and broke. I thought this would be my opportunity to replace the entire work bowl mechanism, which is scratched and dinged up. I saw the "frequently bought together" and that is what I ordered, all three pieces for over $80.The product looks great. It fit onto the bottom (motor section) of the Cuisinart very snugly. I was feeling lucky! YES! A full replacement was within my grasp.But it was not to be. The top lid would not lock onto the bowl. I tried, my husband tried (with more muscle). Nope, it wasn't happening. I tried the new lid pieces with my old bowl, and it worked like a charm. I am returning this bowl.

I bought this workbowl for my Cuisinart DLC-7 after reading all of the reviews I could find. Most of the reviews said the bowl worked fine with their old cover, but mine doesn't fit. The bowl needed to have a tab removed in back, which I did, but the bowl is also slightly too small for the old cover. I didn't want to spend another $25 on a new cover, and then even more for a new pusher, so I've been trying to sand down the rim of the old cover to make it work. After a LOT of work, I can finally use the old cover, (and thus get the machine to work) but it will never be as easy to use as it was. By the way, my old bowl/cover was amber colored, and the new bowl is gray. I called customer service at Cuisinart and asked them about it and they said they don't make the exact bowl for my old cover anymore. The bowl itself is fine, and fits my machine (thus my rating). In my opinion, this information should be available to anyone purchasing this bowl.
