Stainless steel disc creates uniform ¼" slices, excellent for avocados, strawberries, bananas, pineapple, tomatoes, and other fruits & vegetables for pizzas, salads, and deserts; dishwasher safe. Requires detachable stem DLC-039ATX.
Amazon.com
This thick slicing disc makes wonderful 1/4-inch slices with ease. Use it to slice tomatoes for sandwiches, to slice pineapple and bananas for fruit salads, or to make thick slabs of potatoes or eggplant for soups and stews. The raised shelf behind the cutting blade prevents slices from colliding with the disc itself, guaranteeing uniform, unbroken slices every time. The disc slots easily onto the detachable disc stem, but be sure to handle it carefully, as these blades are very sharp. --Jennifer Harris

I had to replace all my blades when i got a new food processor, so i wasn't happy about that. But this works just as well as the old one.

This 6 mm as with any Cuisinart food processor disk adds additional cost to the already fairly expensive food processor purchase. The ease of use and results are exactly what I expected from the 14 cup DFP-14BCNY food processor. Not really a must have disk but does give me options when prepping food.

The disc seems to have been misbalanced. I've used my food processor dozens of times to slice vegetables for stew and we bought this to get slightly thicker slices than the 4mm disc. Halfway through the first potato, I notice that the potato is stuck in the blade. Stop the machine, remove the potato, whatever. Next potato, the blade appears to lift up on every rotation and ultimately gets embedded in the lid's plastic. Wrecked the blade, wrecked the stem holding the blade, and wrecked the lid. At least the motor seems to be fine. Still, this blade is going to cost me a new stem and a new lid.Advice to everyone who buys one of these: check the balance before trying to use this. If you see any sign of a wobble, return it immediately.

Added to my collection, some sizes of shredders and slicers that I did not have. I have a 14 cup Cuisinart Food Processor WHICH I LOVE, and decided to purchase discs so I could do more things. I re-read my Cuisnart pamphlet that listed every disc/blade, the model number, size and what each one did. Surprisingly, it is not that easy to find them at the places that I surely thought they'd be, so checked Amazon. Low and behold they were all here. Selected from 2 different sellers because no one had all that I needed. Both were great, speedy and in perfect condition. This one will probably be used a lot...the 6mm.

Cuisinart may be more expensive but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for.The parts are easily purchased and they work when they arrive what a bonus! We first purchased a cheaper brand and it mashed anything you wanted sliced, then a friend recommended the Cuisinart food processor that was ten years ago when we owned a Deli, now as a food manager I wanted to speed up the prep time so I purchased the Cuisinart blade to slice tomatoes. My employees love it.
