I may have received a defected one, however, mine was wobbly; as if a attachment was hanging on by a thread. It seemed as though everything was in place, but every time I use it, it doesn't stay stagnant long enough to be used properly. I thought that the flower element was unique, however, the overall function of the corer was a miss.

I have always wanted an easier way to fill cupcakes - and this is it! The cutter part worked best when I wiggled it just a bit to help it ease down into the cake. I thought that the "plunger" part would move up as I cut into the cupcake, but it wasn't noticeable. What it did do was push out the part of the cake that had been cut out once I was finished. It also didn't matter which core I put back into the holes that were cut - they all fit just fine, and differences in how deep they were didn't seem to matter, either. I really liked the size of the cuts, too - they were perfect to me. And it was no problem cutting them to whatever depth I wanted (see the cupcake that was cut in half) - the cores pulled out just fine.There are tons of great filled cupcake recipes online to try out, too. I just used a cake mix (which made 24 cupcakes, although it said it would do 36) and used canned frosting on top after they were filled. I used a recipe for the filling, but fillings can be as simple as instant pudding or stabilized whipped cream. The dollop of German chocolate frosting on top finished them off nicely (also canned). These were a big hit, and were so much faster and easier than cutting out a section on top of each cupcake by hand, plus I don't think they put as many crumbs into the frosting as it was spread.

I fill cupcakes often and this tool made it ten times easier. It's so easy to use and really easy to clean. Now I can fill cupcakes alot later then I did before.
