Like the pieces were easy for kids to hold, would be nice if a little chef hat was included or an apron good deal for amount spent, 2 happy grandkids!!

It’s cute and colourful. However, found another set that is just as good for a better price. Wanted to return this and can’t, it says it’s not returnable. Not even opened and now I am stuck with this. It lets you think it’s returnable and when you start the return process…that’s when you find out it’s not! So make sure you really want this if you order it.

Our little restaurateur is very happy with this set. She's only five, but immediately started making plans with her Papa to open an in-home restaurant. This is way more than a toy. It has a timer (learning to tell time), measuring spoons (illustrates visually the subtle differences in quantities and concepts of how many parts make a whole), and every other part of this set will teach with FUN!

I purchased this set for my grandson for Christmas. He likes to cook with his mom. They mostly bake together. Amazon is the cheapest place that you'll find this set. It was half the price of all the other stores I found it in. I was much happier with the cupcake decorating set which I also purchased. The issues that I have with this set is that the timer doesn't work. It never goes off or sometimes it just won't start. The measuring cups are really odd shaped which makes it impossible to scoop directly out of the canister. They're simply too wide. This creates a pretty big mess for an 8 year old. So in hindsight, I wouldn't purchase this set.

This is a great set! Everything there to help the kids get started cooking and understanding measurements. The material is of high quality as well. They feel sturdy and gripping is perfect for young hands. The color is just right to grab attention but not to whacky that you look at it as a toy. The kids (2nd and 4th grade) love having there own set - although I use them as well. Worth the money.

My seven year of great niece loves helping her mother bake and after watching the Master Chef Jr. cooking show where kids use knives and ovens and experience cooking like adults I wanted her to not be held back but to give her appropriate tools so she can do all the cooking tasks. We restrict her because of our fears but she needs to be supervised, learn, be challenged and succeed.

I bought this for my niece (4) because she loves helping me bake. The measuring cups and spoons are great - nice big numbers so she can easily find the right piece, plus it makes it easy to teach basic fractions. The mixing spoon is exactly the right size for her hands, but big enough for me, too. The timer works well, we haven't had any problems so far. My biggest issue with this set is the bowls. They are tiny! Way too small to do any actual mixing in, so they've ended up in her play kitchen. The lids do fit nice and tight, so they're good for storage.Overall, a nice set. I just wish I could've bought the measuring cups and spoons separately.

We ordered these for my son who has been very curious about the kitchen, so far he loves them nearly a week in he wants to help out more and tends to more adventures in what he will eat. We also ordered plastic knives and an apron for him which made a great package. The numbers on the measuring cup are big and easy to read, and each size is a different color so it makes it very easy to teach which is which and to learn fractions. The measuring spoons are the same way, the only negative thing I could say is the "bowls" are far to small to mix anything in and are good for left overs.

I purchased this to bake with my 4 year-old granddaughter. Everything is sized really well for her hands and the bright colors are great. The measuring spoons and cups have the same color theme for each measurement, i.e., 1/8 tsp is orange and 1/8 cup is orange, etc. It will help her as she learns her measurements. A cup being a cup, these measuring utensils are great for any cook who would like some bright colors in the kitchen.

My daughter turned 7 in December and she wanted "Kitchen stuff". Not PRETEND stuff... REAL stuff so she can make REAL things we can REALLY eat. (yes, I realize asking for kitchen tools makes her 'weird' for a 7 year old girl today, but she makes better broccoli than I do already, so..). When we were looking for some measuring items she could call her own, she honed in on this one primarily due to the stickers and notepad (her other major fascinations). I was hoping to steer her to what I felt would be a better investment, but as her father said, "She'll use it more if it's something she likes than if it's super practical and no to her taste." So I overruled my "This looks like a flimsy toy!" skeptical side and ordered it. It is SO MUCH better than I would have thought. Admittedly, the spoon seems weird to me (then again, I'm a die-hard wooden spoon only kind of girl, so take that comment lightly), but she's happy with it and I love that ALL the measuring items will sit flat so she can easily pour into them, unlike my rounded bottom spoons for example. The oval shape of the cups helps her to pour their contents out more easily. The bowls that looked like cheap "use and toss" bowls to me when I was viewing the photo are actually pretty sturdy. And, of course, they are SO much more colorful than the ones I was wanting to get for her. Dad was right. She chose well. My skeptical side took a well deserved hit. I would be excited to order her more curious chef products in the future should her interests continue.
