Installed on Ford Explorer 2024 XLT.Followed directions but noticed I did not have to make both cuts on the muffler heat shields as shown on drawing. I only had to make one modification to each shield.....cutting the square hole (as detailed in the instructions) in order to install the tow bracket bolt.Easy install, about 4 hours doing this alone. Some time consumed on doing cuts in both shields, and the plastic rear bumper fascia.....measure, measure, measure before you cut.Might have been a little quicker with 2 people since tow hook is heavy and awkward to maneuver. Great product.

I had a local shop put this hitch on our 2023 Ford Explorer. Fit great and quality is good.

Ordered this for my fiancés vehicle which had no hitch from factory, this was a pretty decent hitch to install. Definitely takes 2 people as it’s heavy, but overall very easy install and well good instructions.

Fit is perfect, built well, non intrusive. Had a technician install it and everything was straightforward. Instructions could use some work, but it’s easier than putting together furniture purchased online. Looks great! And the price is great compared to the competitors. I’m very happy with it

My 11 year old helped me with the install in our driveway, so it's not really a complicated process. I suggest watching some install videos for the Gen6 Explorer, as the instructions don't really tell you exactly how much needs to be cut off from the heat shields. I'm sure it's different for each variant of the vehicle, so they just give you the general areas to cut and you need to trial and error your way through it until everything fits. The video I watched explained this, but only at the very end. Other than the heat shields, the instructions were spot on and everything just went into place.

the trimming of the Rear Bumper's somewhat tricky measurements in the instructions is wrong. so be prepared to cut some more. and for the heat shield. you only need one hole each for the middle nut.Car FrameHitchheat shieldthis is the order I installed mine.

The hitch fit fine. The cut on the bumper was an easy plunge cut with an oscillating saw. The trimming the exhaust heat shields was easy enough, I hung the hitch on the left side while fitting the right side heat shield, then hung the hitch on the right side while trimming the left side heat shield, then put all the nuts and bolts in. The heat shields sandwich in between the hitch and the frame which isn't in the instructions besides a picture. I don't have the kick sensor on my vehicle, and I didn't use the plastic rivets included. I also reused the factory bolt in the rear holes.
