The adapter simply bolts onto the ATV tongue using the included hardware and provides a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount shank or some other towing accessory. The CURT bolt-on ATV adapter has a strap ring welded right onto its frame, providing a solid attachment point for a tow strap or rope, and it also features a stabilization plate that keeps the adapter and subsequent load from swaying and swiveling during travel. Both the CURT ATV ball mount and ATV bolt-on tongue adapter are made from quality steel and welded together with precision. We coat both products with a gloss black powder coat finish to ensure long-lasting prevention of rust, scratching, chipping and UV damage. Rattles a little with no weight on it but holds fine to pull trail grass cutter behind my ATV. Strong enough for my use.

Was able to pull my cargo trailer with my atv...it has a short tounge but not my utility trailer looks like it bends down on weihtYes, it still swivels..if you can get someone to tack weld would be great If you don't want to remove fastStill recommend this set

I purchased this hitch to add a reciever hitch to my Honda Rancher to move trailers around. I am pretty impressed with the build quality and sturdy. This is a very versatle hitch for ATVs and UTVs. The hitch is very strong. The only down side is the part that goes on the ball mount of the ATV turns when the trailer turns and I have not found a way to keep it in place. That's the only complaint I have with this hitch.

This is an awesome mount. Fit perfect on my side by side and is very handy. It has been used quite a bit since installed it. Towing, pulling, various trailers. Works great. Highly recommend it

It was the perfect extension I needed for my bike. I would have liked to see locking groves where the kit attached to the bike to avoid any possibility of it moving right or left in a heavy turn but so far so good. I am using it to tow my portable backhoe around the yard. Without it the backhoe would have been to close to the bike to turn easily.

Product matched description and photo. It appears to be well made and capable of handling much more trailer than the ATV could possibly tow. I like the idea of the ring above the receiver to connect the safety chain to - as it will preserve ground clearance and wear on the fasteners. I have not had a chance to tow with it yet, so can't provide any further details at this time.

This product appears to be well made and very durable. I ordered the 2" ball (#45038). Unfortunately I received the 1 7/8" ball version of this product. I am not sure if Amazon or Curt is responsible for the poor QC. If I had actually received what I ordered, I would have given five stars.UPDATE AFTER ONE YEAR: This product comes loose no matter how tight you torque it. This is a major if you plan on towing a mower. I ended up welding this to the frame of my atv. Problem solved. No more swiveling. Overall this is a great product if you can weld. Otherwise don’t waste your time.
