The unique European design was created for the U.S. market, combining form, function and aesthetics. CURT Euro Mounts come with a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" shank and can tow up to 3,500 lbs. of gross trailer weight and 350 lbs. of tongue weight, making them the perfect choice for all light-duty towing. Looks great and does what it is supposed to do. Only issue is that it fits too loosely and constantly rattles unless there is substantial tongue weight.

I installed this on my Miata. My wife and I tow a small trailer for long trips. My old hitch worked perfectly except it was about 2 inches too low. This hitch looks cleaner and cooler, it also gives my friends in our car group another reason to tease my Miata. LOL. IYKYK ...until we go to an autocross.

Everytime I rented a Uhaul trailer in my 05 Subaru Legacy the chains would always drag. This gave me enough lift on the trailer to get the chains about 3" off the ground which is fantastic. Also love that it's an all in one setup with the ball pre-attached. My only complaint would be that it didn't come with the locking pin but I already had one so it wasn't a big deal for me.

This hitch is fantastic, I love that you don’t have the ugly and weighty hitch with the detachable ball. This is streamline and sleek and gets the ball to the perfect height. Also the sellers customer service is top notch!! Highly recommend the product and seller

Bought one of these for the hitch I just put on my focus sedan. This worked well, I backed the trailer, up a driveway that hitches can scrape against - even without the ballmount, and didn't do more than drag the safety chains.... This kept it tucked up close to the car's bumper, and carried the trailer well.If you want to just have a ball, and not deal with loosening mounting nuts, or want a minimalist look, this is Definitely one to consider.Review other reviews, someone had posted a conversion list, to look for the right version for your application, for my car, the 2 5/8 rise and near 8 long was the right one for my car, and actually puts this hitch slightly above the ball of the hitch (class 3) on my ranger, so, even with the weaker suspension, you Will have the right height for a 2000-08 focus with drawtite hitch....I do however, recommend a anti rattle device, as this did rattle and shake my focus quite a bit while hooked to a uhaul trailer, but that is more to do with the receiver box, than the ballmount.As for price-by the time you figure the cost of the drawtie, and the ball, you Will be paying more almost everywhere!
