I had bought this bracket originally to hang a floating corner of a queen sized loft bed off of the ceiling. When I went to find joists to hang it off of, i altered my plans to make the attachment point the wall instead. on a stud. This bracket beautifully handles the weight of a couple bodies, a THICK foam mattress, 2x6 lumber, a metal support beam going down the middle of the bed etc, beautifully. I had initially been concerned that given the angle of the attachment, it would start pulling away from the wall above the pivot part of the mount, but in over a month so far, I have not noticed any gap between the mount and the wall whatsoever. I did replace the lag bolts with longer ones for better grip, but the I can definitely attest to the strength of the bracket, as there's been no warping, flexing or bending anywhere in the bracket. I feel safe doing pull-ups off the furthest, most unsupported corner of this bed with no problem, as well, as lounging under this bed while watching TV.
