I used this light engine to light up about 1100 stars in my theater. It looks fantastic. My only gripe is that the slowest twinkle speed is just a bit too fast and makes the star ceiling look too artificial. If there was a way to slow the twinkle speed on this, I'd give it 5 stars.

Youtube "Kochav Shavit" for videos on this kit.I ordered the Twinkle and Meteor Kit With 2000 Cords. They did throw in extra which was great but that's not guaranteed. I just noticed there were extra. I will break this review into sections to save time. I an not getting paid nor connected during this review to the company and it is a honest review.The app: You most certainly can choose one color via the app. Just click on the squares that shows the colors and NOT the plus signs. After so you will be on a single color. You can then go to the color wheel and your lights can stay a single color within the color wheel as well. Bluetooth must be connected and not hidden for the app to work. Unplug motor and turn off your phone then back on if you have problems. Do no uninstall app if it's not finding your phone if it found it before. Clear your cache not your data. The problem is that if the Bluetooth thinks something is still connected it won't connect to anything else. If you have a meteor kit plug that motor in if it can't find the star motor and it will find the star motor. Worked for me after I deleted the app trying to troubleshoot on my own. The motors when turned on will default to your last setting of app hasn't been deleted and reinstalled. There should be a number 2 on connected devices if you have a meteor kit. 1 device without it. If your error says the app is needed or a device is connected, clear the app cache, shut your phone completely off and unplug the box or shut off electricity to the box. Which ever easier. Wait about 10 or so minutes. Try it again. Worked for me. I will say I no longer have any trouble with the app after the initial trial and error of learning how to use it.The motors if you get the ceiling kit are plug and go. You will need an outlet to plug in and that's it. If you get the meteor kit, you will need to outlets to plug into. We removed are light/fan for the bed room and hard wired a plug. For More detail check out my YouTube "Kochav Shavit". Will be detailing how we did it minus the actual electrical work for your safety. If you already have plugs your motor(s) can plug into on your walls you can use those. Just check voltage but the average outlet will work.Framing: We used two by two and 2 wall panels. The wall panels are the ones with the smooth white front and course brown back. We painted the brown back black.Inserting Fibers, Hanging and adhesive: You want to drill from the visible side as which ever side the drill breaks out of will be messy. So drill from the side of the board/panel that will be seen. Tape or zip tie as far as you can to ensure the fiber don't tangle. Put them in sections you are comfortable with. We had over 2000 fibers so I used sections of 80 and taped/zip tide them as far as I could. I messed up and did not tape and separate them far enough and spent 5hrs or more detangling so please don't skip this step. Separate and tape meteor fibers as well. I used hot glue but I will recommend using silicone as the hot glue deformed the fibers. Luckily deformed fibers still pass light through them. If you do decide hot glue unplug your gun, let it cool then use. You will need to repeat that process a bit. Make sure you feed through enough of the fibers but not too much. Measure where the father fiber will be from your plug. Stay in that range. Measuring ever fiber is not necessary. Eyeball it. The fiber are 5 meters long which is about 16 feet. You should have plenty of cord so please don't forget to section and tape/ziptie to ensure they will not tangle. 5hrs! Of detangling because I didn't put the time into it and I still had to put the time into it to ensure it didn't tagle again. Don't come with a bad review because you didn't organize and I'm warning you. Take that time. We used hooks and screw eyes to hang. It's super light so we used four. We hung a bracket and zipped tied the star motor to the bracket as there is no hanging holes on it. Super easy. See photo. Meteor motor has hanging slots. To cut is used sheers and a nail clipper for getting them flush. Tug to make sure they are adhered before cutting.What It Comes with: The motor and the fiber optics cables. Two motors if you get the meteor kit. Remember both motors need these own plug unless you hard wire them together which is tricky and can damage your device. It comes with star pieces you can adhere cord in and hang or make flush by using the nuts they come with. Read description to see all it comes with.Review: For the price, I am pleased with the product. It came out beautifully and the app functions are plenty with a color wheel filled with color choices. I custom ordered sizes but determined i could have went with the 2000 bundle. The represenative was responsive and helpful through the buy process. I highly recommend this fiber optic Twinkle kit. If you have patience, this could turn out looking amazing.
