This kit comes with good quality components in a large ziplock baggie that you can use to keep your project in while you are working on it. There is a generous amount of floss that feels nice to work with, presorted on a card by number for you. There are no DMC style color numbers given if you needed any more floss but with as many colors are used in this project you could easily just add any color you happen to have on hand if you actually needed any more. There are three needles in the kit (extras are always a good thing) but they are taped to the floss card so they need to have the sticky cleaned off them before they are used. The hoop is plastic and good quality both for use and later framing. The scissors, needle threader and seam ripper come in a small plastic baggie for security. You could put your needles on a small scrap of fabric in there too. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and actually teach the various embroidery stitches. The pattern is printed on a nice piece of cloth that is plenty big enough to be easily held in the hoop. Overall one of the nicest kits I've seen in a while, suitable for both beginners and experienced embroiders.

I'm a first-time embroiderer, so I was happy to come across this beginner's embroidery kit. It comes with all the items displayed in the promotion. The mid-weight linen has a well-defined pattern on it, so it's easy to follow the lines. The glossy instructional sheet has adequate descriptions of what to do, but they're printed in small lettering and photos. It's easier to learn stitches and other tips by following the YouTube tutorials you can access via the QR code that's on the instruction sheet. I like the vivid colors the embroidery floss comes in and that the floss is of the thinner variety, so it doesn't create a bulky-looking image. While I would have preferred wood, the loop that holds the linen is plastic. Everything can be stored while you're working on the project in the zip-top plastic bag the kit comes in. A nice small kit for gifting or for your own use.

I've been cross-stitching and dabbling with embroidery since I was a young girl, and my 12-year old daughter has recently begun showing an interest in learning. This looked like it would be a good "beginner" set, particularly because it looked like it came with everything you would need to finish the project. And it did not disappoint!Quite frankly, the plastic embroidery hoop alone is worth the cost of this whole kit - it is durable and will likely last through many, many projects. There is quite a good amount of embroidery floss included (although there are no identifying/DMC numbers on them, so it is difficult to accurately replace them if you lose any). However, this particular design does not really need to be any exact colors - you can kind of mix it up and still get a very pretty finished product. The kit also comes with several needles, tiny scissors (which require a LOT of repetition to actually cut anything!), needle threader, seam ripper, and printed pattern. So far, my daughter has enjoyed using this set, learning something new, and creating something that is really shaping up to be quite pretty. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely embroidery set for beginners. The hoop is a standard bamboo wood hoop, making it easy to tighten the fabric so that stitches are easy to keep straight. The instruction videos are clear, although the instructions with the set are not (but I won't take off a star for that). All in all I would recommend this embroidery set if you're looking for something simple and easy.

My grandmother taught me embroidery when I was young (around 10 years old), but I didn't continue with it for very long & haven't done any in around 45 years, so I was a bit worried that I wouldn't remember anything--but this said "beginner" & I was feeling nostalgic, so I went for it. Turns out I was right; I didn't remember very much. LOL. But I followed the instructions & did a bit of practising around the edges first. In the end, I think it came out alright. Kit came with everything I needed.

I fly quite a bit and like to have a few things to do on the plane. This kit is perfect as it has everything you need all in one package. i just pop it in my carry-on and I'm ready to work on it in flight.The scissors aren't the best, but will eventually trim the thread. The pattern is well printed on the cloth, but the instruction picture is a bit hard to decipher in a few spot as the thread number is printed inside the design.This kit has a large number of floss colours, so it's quite pretty when finished. The thread is not the highest quality but for the price it's quite usable. It has a needle threader, which makes getting it onto the included needles quick and easy. I'm not sure I'd have been quite as pleased if I'd never done any needlework before, but its nice for someone who has played around a little.

I've had a lot of embroidery kits over the years, and this is one of the best. The printed pattern on the fabric is dark and clear enough to see easily. The different colors of floss are tied to a card in separate holes so they don't get all tangled up, and there are three needles taped to the card. The sheet in the kit has instructions with pictures for how to do all the basic stitches in case you've forgotten how to do a French knot, for example. This kit even comes with tools that most needlework enthusiasts will already have - a seam ripper, a needle threader, and scissors that are nice and sharp and actually work! They aren't exactly heirloom tools, but you have everything you'll need to do the whole project. I do wish the hoop was wood or bamboo instead of slippery plastic, but in every other way, this is a wonderful kit, at a great value.
