This is a great light jacket with a nice meaty zipper that can be dressed up for an office/professional setting or dressed down for a night out with friends. I'd describe the fit as somewhere between 'slim' and 'athletic' as it has a slight taper and is ever so slightly broader in the shoulders in the large size. The jacket lends itself relatively well to layering during the colder months, but I'd probably avoid going any thicker than maybe a waafle knit henley or medium sweater underneath. Haven't washed it yet so I can't speak to shrinkage--but with this sort of material, I follow a pretty strict regimen of zipping up, turning inside out, washing on the delicate cycle w/o fabric softener and a cool tumble dry until slightly damp to the touch, then hang dry for a day before wearing again -- never fails me. *Side note* this review goes for the Grey jacket in the same style--that one's a banger also.
