After 30 years, I blew out a bearing on my McLane 801 gasoline powered edger. This Cutter Head Shaft/Pulley/Bearings/Nut Combo Replaces Mclane Part # 2033 was a Perfect Fit. The kit includes the pulley shaft, spring washer, pair of 6202RS bearings, and nut. I was able to reuse the pair of friction washers (Part # 2044) that holds the blade in place. The kit came very well packaged in layers of bubble wrap, which was contained in a bubble wrap envelope. Thanks to the good folks at Golden West Lawn Mowers & Power Equipment, my McLane 801 gasoline powered edger is back in service.

My blade side bearing was bad and the shaft slightly worn so bought this kit and glad I did. My pulley side bearing seemed ok and I had to tap it out. This kit includes a new wave washer that goes on the pulley side and mine was shot as well. Installed both new bearings, new pulley/shaft with new wave washer. I did notice my old blade retainer washers were a little too tight to fit up to the new shaft shoulder and my old nut was tighter than the new nut supplied. I honed out both blade retainer washers just a little then they worked perfectly. Greased the shaft via the top zerk. Fired it up and edges like new. After edging I checked the shaft snd bearings and everything still tight.
