I already have something similar to this optic made by Cyelee called the CAT X PRO (what’s with all these optics with animal names), that I have mounted on my P365 and when I wanted another similarly sized RMSc sized option for my PSA Dagger Micro, I decided to give this model a try.Pros:- The unit is made of a tough and durable aluminum construction throughout the housing and the lens has a wide field of view.- It is very lightweight at 1.1-ounces with the battery installed, and with the picatinny mount it weighs 1.9-ounces, and with the MOS plate it weighs 1.3-ounces.- It comes with a picatinny mount and Glock compatible MOS (Modular Optic System) adaptor plate, and a couple of batteries.- It is relatively easy to adjust for windage and elevation, but a flathead screwdriver is needed to do so.- There are only two buttons, both on the port side. You must repeatedly depress either button to increase or decrease the amount of illumination. You can also turn it off from any brightness setting by pressing and holding the minus button.- There is a memory function, so when you turn on the unit from any particular brightness setting, it will resume to the last brightness setting at which you used it.- The Motion Awake Technology “shake-Awake” feature works well. After about four minutes it auto-turns off if no motion is detected to conserve battery power, but it comes on instantly with the slightest movement. Note that the unit must be turned on initially for this feature to work.- It has ten brightness settings (one of which is for night vision), and the highest setting works well on the brightest of days, and the dot is nice and crisp without any fuzziness like my other CVLife RMR optic.- There is a lockout mode so that you can prevent accidental presses of the buttons from altering your settings.- With an IPX7 waterproof rating, it not only can be used in the rain, but it can be accidentally submerged in water, and it has a 1500G shockproof rating, so it can be knocked around a bit or dropped without too much fear of breakage or failure.- It uses a small 1632 battery that has a battery life rating of up to 50,000 hours (for the lowest setting).- There are nice tactile clicks when making adjustments to the windage and elevation.- The feature I am most appreciative of is that you don’t have to remove the sight from the firearm to replace the battery, which is often the case for non-brand name red dot sights.- The battery compartment is spring-loaded (only with a battery installed), although there is a delay before it pops out. Fortunately, there is a ledge just under the screw hole into which the supplied flat head micro screwdriver fits, to pry out the tray if necessary, without marring the finish. I found reinstalling works best by pushing in the tray very gently, and then starting the screw, and then push it all the way in and tighten the screw. If you push it all the way in at first, you will have a lot of trouble getting the screw’s threads engaged.- The rear of the housing has built in blacked-out raised nubs that act as backup rear iron sights in case the dot fails if your firearm required removal of the rear sight for the red dot installation. So many brands omit this feature, and I am glad to see it on this unit.Cons:- It does not come with a silicone or rubber protective cover like other optics in this price range.- There is no mention in the instruction manual as to how to engage and disengage the lock mode, and I had to refer back to the Amazon listing to figure out how it works. Fortunately, it was mentioned in the listing (Press and hold the "+ " and "- " buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the lock mode).Despite my minor nitpicks, at one-hundred and eighty dollars at the time of this writing, you are still getting a well-featured unit with several similar attributes to higher priced versions with a very easy to see crisp red dot, and because of the large viewing window, I consider it a good value.

I've been wanting to put a micro red dot on my shotgun for awhile, but couldn't bring myself to pay the same to double what I paid for the shotgun itself. I saw this new CVLife that looked interesting, so thought I'd give it a "shot"!First impressions out of the box... it's ok. Currently with coupons, this is about $126, which should be where this should be normally, in my opinion. At the full price of $180, I probably would just go for a Sig Romeo Zero or Primary Arms Slx for not much more. The sight came with the picatinny mount preinstalled and an adapter plate with holes/nubs for RMR and Glock MOS mounts. Without any plate, it's setup for the RMSc pattern.Optic Quality:The glass on this sight is not great. There's definitely distortion, magnification at the edges, and the upper half has a very visible blue tint (lower half seems more clear?). The dot quality is ok. It seems to have a bit of a starburst, but my eyes don't get along the best with normal red dots anyway.Controls:Motion awake seems to work well, easy + and - buttons on left side to make brighter or dimmer (8 brightness levels + 2 night vision settings). One thing I felt was a little deceiving is the battery life. The specs quote 50,000 hours, but if you look in the documentation, it indicates "up to 500 hours" on highest brightness and "up to 50,000 hours" on the lowest brightness settings. For zeroing, you can use a small flathead screwdriver or the included angle driver. Each click results in 1 MOA of elevation/windage.The battery tray seems to be sealed well and is accessible without removing the sight, so that's good at least. You will need a small flathead or the included driver to remove the tray, so just remember that if you need to change in the field.Documentation:The documentation booklet is well written and clear, no "chinglish".Build Quality:The metal body seems very solid and the shade is made of thick metal. I don't see it being a concern if it gets smacked around a bit, though time will tell.

First dot I've owned. It is always "on" and ready - you don't have to shake it or make any extra movements, and it took about 2 twists of the screws to center. What a nice upgrade - I definitely get on-target faster - noticable after 1 time at the range.

The red dot sight is a solid, shockproof optic that performs exceptionally well on my compact handgun. The 3 MOA dot is crisp and clear, and the motion awake feature works flawlessly, powering up quickly when needed. It’s compatible with multiple mounting systems (RMS/RMSC/RMR) and includes adapters for RMR, MOS, and Picatinny rails, making installation easy. Built tough and responsive, this is a five-star red dot sight for precision and reliability!

I was looking for a red dot optic for use in practice at the range and got the opportunity to give this optic a shot (pun intended.) There are so many reviews by experienced hands in the craft here on the description page that my writing a long review would be like shouting into the wind. So, the rookie review is that it works as described. I was able to teach myself how to set it up and sight it perfectly in a short time and prove my work on the range. In short, a great optic for both beginning and more experienced shooters. Built tough, easy battery replacement on the side makes it easy and it just delivers day in and day out. Recommended for everyone.
