This rest is extremely lightweight, made out of a dense foam. And has numerous indentations at different heights to support your firearm in different positions. It’s bulky but not heavy. One my least favorite things is the thickness of it. It’s about 4 inches thick, and I could see somebody using it as a pistol rest, and if it’s a short barrel, pistol, not clearing the edge of the block and potentially shooting part of it away. I don’t think it would be dangerous because of how soft the foam is, but there definitely is precedent for it because there is one of these at my local indoor gun range hat has suffered that fate many many many times. Overall, it’s a good addition to my kit especially when I use it to help zero in rifles. People also ask me all the time where I got it so overall, I think it’s a good product to have.

So this foam shooting rest block isn’t magic, but definitely beats resting your rifle on rolled-up hoodies. Lightweight and basic, good for quick range trips. Doesn’t offer serious recoil reduction, but for casual shooting, it’s convenient and saves shoulder bruises.

I have other products from this company, mainly electronics for my rifles, and have never been disappointed so I was pretty confident that a basic foam X-block couldn’t have issues. And I was right. It’s well made of compressed EVA foam and comes in 2 sizes to suit your preference. I chose large figuring that the horizontal (lower) profile would work for me and I would always have the option of going taller by flipping to vertical. I could see that this would work for prone shooting but I will be using it mostly for bench firing. For my needs I find it perfect. It stays put and gives me the control I need over my rifle. Not much more to say on this one really. It’s a nicely formed block of foam which will steady your weapon and help with your aim.The large is a decent volume to carry around (check specs) if you’re tight on space but at the same time super lightweight. Store it indoors when not in use and it should last a long time.I hope you found this information helpful 👇

I've used a bunch of shooting rests and I feel like I can never find one solution that works for all of the purposes I need a shooting rest for. This rest doesn't satisfy that one solution quest. But it is probably the best bench shooting rest when considering ease of use, price, and weight. This thing feels almost like a yoga brick. It's dense foam that doesn't mar up gun finishes or absorb liquids like gun oils too readily. The width is a good amount of surface area to give you a solid platform when you're on a bench. Tilting is pretty easy since you can rock your firearms on the channel edges without too much difficulty. The only drawback I see is that this thing is bulky. It'll take up a lot of space in your range bag and I'll probably loop some cord through the 4 holes and tie on a carabiner so I can just hang this on the outside of my bags. Overall though, this was a nice shooting rest that's fast to use and does the job.

I've never had a shooting rest before, never felt the need to own one, lol. However, after sighting in a bunch of weapons in a short amount of time I began to understand the need for one. This one works well enough for my needs. I have no real experience, so I can't offer much by way of comparisons. It seems like decent quality and I love how light it is.
