I'm trying to be fair here, so I'll start off with the good stuff. The motor is more than enough, at least for our 70 lb hog. The spit rod and braces were easy to use. Now for the not good stuff. The U-bolts to to secure the spine are too short, they could have splurged and gone with longer U-bots. The legs or braces are definitely not stable for a 70 lb hog, we almost lost ours. We had to secure the legs with wire to concrete blocks I had. And finally the thermostat that came with it bent in half as soon as I inserted it. Great idea for a rotisserie, just cheaply designed for the price. I'm going to pay a welder to make me a sturdy base with legs.

I love roasted lamb and suckling pig, but could never do them right with the cheap roasters that cannot handle the size and weight. Eventually, I cracked and decided to go up market. Way up. This item is expensive, but it does the job. The quality is top-notch, and I am very pleased with the design. Clearly, a lot of thinking has gone into it, and it also seems to have also benefited from the feedback from professionals. The hardware included to hold the meat in place, for instance, is clever, sturdy, and something that I have never seen in cheaper roasters. I am glad I bought this, and I do recommend it.

This is an amazing product. We have cooked so much on it this summer and hope to the rest of the season. Held our 35 pig like there was nothing on there. Turned well and just did an outstanding job. VERY heavy duty and would highly recommend.

Had an 86 lb. pig on there and it turned out perfect. Built a base of paver bricks and to keep the heat in positioned some corrugated tin on both sides (not sure if I needed that or not, but it worked well). Used lump charcoal and in roughly eight hours had ourselves a feast! The hardware that came with this unit absolutely helped with getting the pig stuck onto the spit and it worked very well.

I wish that I would have bought this years ago. This item was easy to assemble and had all of the tools and more to secure the animal to the shaft. I am excited to use it again.
