the unit came with 4 batteries in a tray. 2 of the batteries bear the cyber power branding and the other two are some other brand. I got the battery swapped out and charged. It worked for less than a day and then I started getting the long beep and an overload warning with nothing plugged in. Returns are not possible, so I guess, screw me? I get 11.6 V at the battery terminals on a supposedly full charge.

I have two Cyberpower rackmount UPS protecting my equipment. Last time I had a power outage, one of them ran out of power after only a minute or two. They were over 3 years old and I had never replaced the batteries. My oversight. I have thousands of dollars worth of sensitive electronic stuff on these UPS and did not want to skimp on a third party battery. A short YouTube video explains it all. Remove front cover, unscrew bracket, unplug old battery, slide out, replace, plug in the new one, replace bracket and cover. Done. Easy. Effortless. Wrote the date on the new batteries so I can remember when to change them again.

The battery pack comes with instructions on how to replace the battery pack. Interestingly, a lot of Cyberpower UPS products seem to use the same battery pack, so one may wonder why they're paying premium pricing for the higher end UPSes while they use the same batteries as the low-end UPS.Anyway, it was very easy to replace the battery pack. Remove the front panel (no need for screws), and a protection plate, pull out the old pack, and insert the new one. I had to remove a grand total of 3 small screws, and disconnect two wires. The whole process took less than 5 minutes, and if you're proficient I'm sure you can do it in less than 2.The battery pack comes in reusable packaging, so it's easy to recycle your old battery pack.Definitely a 5-star product. Well done, Cyberpower.
