This will stop your leak. However it will also cause your check engine light to come on and your engine to malfunction. The only solution is to buy a Honda solenoid. Don't make the same mistake I made, buy a Honda solenoid and have a mechanic change it. That will prevent the leak and the P3497 code your engine will throw if you go cheap and buy an aftermarket gasket. And Honda does not sell just the gasket, you have to buy a Honda solenoid.

Stopped leak from VVT spool on my 2011 Honda Odyssey. Fit was perfect.If you are reading this you probably know these gaskets are not available from Honda or any auto parts store. The fit of the parts was spot on. The material appeared to be rubber instead of silicone but the original also looked like rubber.The original gasket was very hard and leaked badly which caused the alternator to fail.
