So far this has been a godsend for my mobile gameplay; truly “plug and play” just like it claims. I saw some mapping instructions included, but I honestly haven’t needed them and still don’t really understand their purpose, so I skipped that part entirely. One thing to note: when connecting via Bluetooth, there’s a message that pops up saying “your Bluetooth and WiFi connections may be affected.” It doesn’t explain how, and I couldn’t find any solid info online, so I’ll be using it with a bit of caution moving forward. Overall though, it’s a pretty good addition to my mobile gaming setup.

I got this for playing games on my phone and wanted to leverage using a controller vs using my phone's touchscreen. In particular, because I enjoy some of those legacy games like Sonic the Hedgehog and Crash Bandicoot, I wanted to recreate that old style game controller feel. This device meets all of those needs.I have an iPhone Pro that is pretty large with a big screen, so I needed something that would work with this. I took the controller out of the box, pulled it open and my phone fits in there perfectly, no need to remove it from its case and the rubber grips inside (along with the spring-loaded tension) keeps the phone firmly in place. Connecting the device through bluetooth further simplifies things - I simply connect to the XBox Wireless Controller in my list of available BT choices and it's ready to go.Using the controller is a bit more complex than the far simpler controllers of game systems of yore (I grew up on Atari 2600, Nintendo and Sega Genesis, so if you know, you know) but it's pretty straight forward and easy to get a good handle on what you're doing. The extra buttons and joysticks are easy to reach and use and the grip is comfortable in my hand. The LED backlighting options are fun to pick and choose what color you want your controller buttons and background to be; this feature is not necessary for gameplay but does make it a little more fun - I can imagine that the kiddies and youngsters might get appeal from this.Charging is fast and easy - It comes with a USB-A/USB-C charging cable - I used an iphone block for charging and it worked perfectly fine. Battery life is decent, it's certainly not going to crap out on me anytime soon or at all during a game. My attention span is far too short to spend hours doing this, but this should easily last long enough for the average phone gamer to use comfortably without needing to pause and recharge.I really like the way this feels in my hands when I'm playing the game. It's a bit longer (wider) than what I'm used to when I'm using my computer gamepad (for reference, I use a USB wired Logitech Gamepad F310 - pretty basic), but it's got a nice natural grip and it's not super heavy. The buttons are all within natural reach of my index and middle fingers and my thumbs. No over stretching or reaching required. My hands are small so if it's comfortable for me, it should be comfortable for most.If you're looking for a quick, easy bluetooth solution to your phone gaming needs, give this your consideration - it's a great little device and I have no regrets with this one!

I expected this to not be anywhere near as good as my GameSir G8 Galileo, but I'm not sure I feel any real difference in responsiveness!Super easy setup, it shows up as an Xbox controller in your bluetooth settings so you know what to look for.Instantly recognized as a controller when starting a game that supports them.Since it connects via bluetooth and comes up as an Xbox controller I actually want to try connecting it to my PC just to try it out sometime, but I haven't tried that yet at least.Sticks feel good and react well, they claim to be Hall Effect which is really nice at this price point if true.Buttons feel good too, a little resistant maybe but not something I really thought about while playing. It even has vibration, which felt great actually. I wasn't really expecting that. The shell looks nice, and the RGB is also a nice (if somewhat unnecessary) touch. The grip is a bit stubby for my taste, but I'm not used to Xbox-style controllers as a Playstation gamer so maybe this is normal for other people. No issues reaching any controls, of which there are many. You can customize some of them, but I haven't played with that - I don't usually play games that need that many buttons, at least not on my phone. But if you're playing, say, an MMORPG or something like that I could see it being useful. It is clearly made to accommodate phones that are much bigger than my iPhone 15 Pro if needed, but that doesn't mean my phone feels misplaced or anything. I REALLY like the little stopper bit along the bottom edge that lets you line up your phone, though at the same time the sides should hold your phone in place just fine without it so it's not really necessary. But I like the touch.Weight is good, it's light enough to not make your hands/arms any more fatigued than they would be just holding your phone. So is it as nice as the GameSir? Not quite, but besides the grip and the buttons it's almost the same. Definitely a good buy at this price point.
