In Stock
  • Bi-directional control for 2 brushed DC motor.
  • Support motor voltage ranges from 5V to 25V.
  • Maximum current up to 10A continuous and 30A peak (10 second) for each channel.
  • Solid state components provide faster response time and eliminate the wear and tear of mechanical relay.
  • Speed control PWM frequency up to 20KHz. Support both locked-antiphase and sign-magnitude PWM operation.

MDD10 is able to regulate the speed of TWO DC motors with PWM (pulse width modulation input). It is far more powerful than L293D since it can support up to 10A continuous current. The full H bridge circuit which is in full solid state component has higher efficiency, faster response, and eliminate the wear and tear of the mechanical relay compare to the other controllers.

Features:

  • Speed controller to drive 2 motors.
  • Bi-directional control for 2 brushed DC motor.
  • Support motor voltage ranges from 5V to 30V (Rev2.0).
  • Maximum current up to 10A continuous and 30A peak (10 second) for each channel.
  • Solid state components provide faster response time and eliminate the wear and tear of mechanical relay.
  • Fully NMOS H-Bridge for better efficiency and no heat sink is required.
  • Speed control PWM frequency up to 20KHz. Support both locked-antiphase and sign-magnitude PWM operation.
  • 2 activation buttons for fast test on each channel.
  • Dimension: 84.5mm x 62mm.
  • Made In Malaysia.
  • Provide tutorial and sample code.

I have been using these things for years, at first to control actuators for Halloween displays with Arduinos. My latest project is using them with an ESP 32 to control the brush motors on a robot I am building. As for finding code for the unit, there is code on Github to use them with the Arduino. I am also finding ChatGTP a great help in writing code for them with the ESP32.Great Controller, East to code both with the Arduino IDE Library or with direct writing to the PWM and Dir Pins.

I would've done 5 stars but the lack of info and instructions take away 1 and probably should take away more. The driver does work but the company fails since it requires a microcontroller to use it in RC application. Most videos have a pwm, dir and speed per channel but this only has speed and dir. Not everyone is schooled at a high level in small electronics. It would be so simple for them to post a code for arduino ide for esp32, 8266 or something. I have one of these for sale. I'm ordering a sabertooth like I should have to start with and eliminate the need for microcontroller

Product was not deliverable initially due to a hiccup with the address. Seller went ahead and contacted me to resolve the issue and get a replacement sent out in no time.Motor driver works great, the user buttons are a great add on for quick testing. I was not able to find a micropython example on the internet, however using Cytrons Arduino examples it was relatively easy to port. Using micropython, generated the necessary PWM signal at 20 kHz on pico rp2040 worked like a charm. Highly recommend!

I have a 20 pound robot with 12amp motors, after hours of running around, the controller isnt even warm.works well with Pi 4.

This is my favorite dc motor driver. I’ve bought about a dozen so far to use in robotics kits that I sell and use myself, and I’ve never had a problem that wasn’t caused by human error (my bad). The only thing to watch out for is to make sure you only supply positive voltage through the positive terminal, and negative/ground through the negative terminal. This seems obvious, but it’s easy to overlook the small “+” and “-“ markings in front of the slots. This is otherwise pretty close to a perfect piece of hardware. Very reliable, and doesn’t heat up at all when powering two of my 12V 3Amp motors at a time.

Performs as listed. I'm using it to control two different 12V 5 amp dc motors. It was very easy to integrate with my Arduino board and software. I bought it because it was less expensive than any other board I could find that would control the current and it was simpler to connect and integrate. It does not come with a paper instruction manual. Instead, a bar code is included that will access the manual from your phone. A pdf format manual is available on the Cytron website. The manual has a comment about potential problems with inductive loads and power supplies. I haven't had any problems so far. If you do have, the issue is easily solved by back to back zener diodes across the Cytron output. The combination is much less cost than the next alternative.I like it enough that I bought another one. CWF
