I'm getting back into nylon string guitar. I have a cheap classical that had broken strings so decided to give these a try.If you play steel string guitar as your main instrument, go for a high tension set. They're very easy to play and if you have strength built up from steel strings, these won't present any problems. In fact, I've needed to develop a lighter touch with both hands to keep things in control. These sound great. The bass strings resonate well and the three "nylgut" strings feel good and have a sweet top end. Overall I find them to be very balanced and pleasing to the ear. I've got no issues with these, but I'm also a novice nylon string player. I've grown my right hand fingernails a bit and I'm working on my classical right hand techniques.

These are my go-to classical guitar strings for clarity and durability. They sound excellent for several months between necessary string changes. I don't perform anymore so just the occasional enjoyment at home is all I need. So good sound for a decent amount of time is important.

Bought these to replace the strings on my Classical Guitar. Bought them because they were advertised as being bright but also hard, and they are definitely both. The bass strings especially have much brighter/crisper tone than what I have used in the past and over all they are a little bit harder (under more tension). The downside so far is that they do not stay in tune very well, I've had them on the Guitar for a couple of months now and still have to tune every time I play, which is pretty much daily.

Note - These are high-tension strings so it is advisable to change all the strings accordingly otherwise your guitar might sound different. This is my second purchase. I had originally needed only the 5th string, but since this particular product is only available in sets, I was obliged to purchase the entire set. The nylon strings are coated with a high-tension silver-coated copper which produces a bright acoustic sound initially, but after some time, the natural bright nylon pluck will become more prominent. I am somewhat sceptical regarding the longevity of these strings for up to 3 years and the high maintenance required, which includes avoiding pressure on the strings and storing them in optimal temperature conditions. Nonetheless, I am pleased with the overall build and quality of the product. For all classical guitar players, this product is an excellent choice, albeit a bit expensive in the price segment. Given that it is an imported product, there is little that can be done about the price. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

i was mentioned in another reviewers' post and labeled an elitest. guilty! in my 58 years i knew no other than Savarez's red card. i needed no review/opinion. in a vain attempt to minimize my shame my defense was there were no pro-arte strings. my guitars during those years were as varied as the guitars themselves.savarez will always be a 1st love. but all will agree variety is spicy. i don't stray anymore. i have a home and pro-arte hard keeps me there,so.................they make my instruments (all) sound far better. pleasing sustain and overtones for days.stays in tune and blends with other louder instruments.the tension you choose will be felt i assure you but start slow and low with somewhere to go.

I’ve been using these strings for years at the suggestion by my luthier as well as other flamenco players and I love them. For the percussive attack some styles require, “squishy” lighter strings just don’t hold up and make it harder not easier to get brilliance in tonal output. They last a lot longer than I’d of expected too. We’re all gonna break a string here and there. Not always a string defect. I had a set on for 7 years when not playing in regular rotation and they still brought good tone. Otherwise I just tend to change them at 6 months when in heavy rotation out of personal preference/habit.Definitely recommend, these are high performance strings & the hard tensions are easy to play and can take a lot of punishment.

I put these strings on my Alvarez hybrid classical/electric guitar. I'm giving them 5 stars because they're certainly high quality, but I'll also say that I probably wouldn't buy them again. As you'd expect from higher tension strings, they're a little bit harder on the fingers than the EJ45 strings. That's not such a big deal if you have calluses, but they still have a very different feel from normal tension strings, and I'm not really a fan of it so far. They also have a different sound. The base strings in particular are brighter and louder than D'addario normal tension strings. They have sort of a metallic twang to them that's hard for me to describe. As a result, these strings sound really good when I'm strumming chords, but when I'm fingerpicking a song, the bass strings tend to overpower the treble strings and I've had to adjust my technique accordingly. They almost make my guitar sound more like a traditional steel string than a classical.Overall, I don't think these are my cup of tea, but don't take my word for it. They're definitely worth a try, especially if you do a lot of strumming on your classical.
