I recently got this D'Addario Nexxus 360 Tuner for my violin, and it's been pretty convenient. The clip-on design makes it super easy to attach to the instrument without a fuss. The full-color LED screen is clear and easy to read from any angle. I really appreciate that it's rechargeable, and the auto-off feature is a nice touch for saving power. It seems to be quite accurate and makes tuning up a quicker and (closer to) painless process.Pros:- Easy clip-on design.- Clear and adjustable full-color LED screen.- Rechargeable battery is convenient.- Auto-off feature saves power.- Accurate tuning.Cons:- Might be a bit sensitive to background noise in very loud environments.- The clip could potentially leave a slight mark on delicate finishes if not careful.- A little pricier than some other models.

I mess around with ukes, not the more elevated stringed instruments such as violins.Even though it’s advertised as being optimized for violin, I found this easy to use on my concert and tenor sized instruments. It’s charges quickly, is easy to read, and agrees with my calibrated and verified tuner. The “shoulder mount” is new to me, and very convenient.

Finding a electronic tuner that has the facility to secure to a violin has been a difficulty for me in the past. I often resorted to securing one to the bridge. This one secured directly to the body.I applaud the tuners ability to tune to a variety of “a” frequencies, as most only can tune to a=440 hertz and I think that beginners would appreciate the finger ease of initially tuning to a=432 hertz. This frequency is easier on the instrument and strings, and the reduced ability of the old to hear high frequencies. The tuner has excellent stability and regulation. Display was easily read. Since it only has a single display digit, the frequency hertz was displayed sequentially. I do not play with piano accompany and would have appreciated the tuner having a facility for “un tempered” fundamental tuning. Such was not to be. Pity. This is a “one trick pony” for its clamping system and those looking to also use it on a guitar or ukulele will be disappointed unless you can make a wood spacer or similar.Enjoy.

I don't play the violin, but I bought this tuner to help identify notes on my Otamatone. The tuner came with no instructions, so I had to experiment with the frequency settings before it finally started registering the notes. I'm still a bit confused about how to calibrate it—numbers 1 through 4 flash on the screen, but I don’t know what they mean.I assume the tuner is accurate - I tried to check it against my electric piano that has a strings setting, but it won’t pick up any notes, no matter how loud I play or how close I hold it to the speaker. The battery life is great—up to 24 hours—which will last me a long time since I'm not a musician, just someone who enjoys casually dabbling when I have a few minutes. The display is easy to read, and the rotating face is a very useful feature. I feel that $35 at the time of this review is a fair price.

As a violinist, having a dependable tuner is paramount, and the D'Addario Nexxus 360 has proven to be a valuable addition to my instrument case. From the moment I clipped it onto my scroll, I appreciated the secure fit. The rubberized inner lining ensures a solid grip without marring the instrument's finish, providing peace of mind that it will stay firmly in place during use. This is a significant improvement over some other clip-on tuners I've encountered that can feel precarious or prone to slipping. The convenience of the USB-C rechargeable battery is another standout feature. Gone are the days of scrambling for replacement button batteries. The ease of simply plugging it in to recharge is a modern touch that I've quickly come to appreciate. While I haven't meticulously tracked the exact lifespan of a single charge, my experience thus far indicates impressive longevity. It holds its charge remarkably well, ready whenever I need it without the constant worry of it dying mid-practice or performance preparation.Beyond its practical design, the Nexxus 360 is simply effective. The full-color LED screen is clear and easily adjustable, providing excellent visibility in various lighting conditions. The tuning accuracy is spot-on, allowing me to quickly and confidently bring my violin to the correct pitch. Furthermore, the tuner feels well-constructed and comfortable to handle, suggesting a level of durability that should withstand regular use. Overall, the D'Addario Nexxus 360 Rechargeable Violin Tuner offers a seamless and reliable tuning experience, making it a highly recommended tool for any violinist.

The D'Addario Nexxus 360 is a different style of tuner than I'm used to-- in fact, I don't think I've personally ever used one quite like this. That being said, it's pretty easy to use; it clamps on easily and stays in place, and seems pretty accurate when I compare it to my trusty tuner/metronome I've used for years. I can't say it'll be perfect for concerts or the like, but you're probably matching the pitch of your instrument with the rest of the orchestra in that case anyway. This works well enough for at-home practice imo.

It provides accurate tuning for both violin and mandolin, and the rechargeable battery is convenient.Overall, it performs as expected and is a solid choice for anyone needing a clip-on tuner.
