The pictures speak for themselves. Notice how skewed the cut is in the first picture. It seems good quality but it in NOT precise.I wish I bought a cheaper and more popular one. Save your money. :(

Très bon coupe-papier.Je l'utilise pour toutes sortes de projets artisanaux.Coupe plusieurs feuilles sans effort (la poignée glisse très bien sur la barre).Précis et belle coupe à chaque fois. Très sécuritaire avec les enfants.

I bought this after several people told me what a great item this is. I will agree that this is one of the best cutters and I am so glad to be cutting straight lines again. I just wish it was easier to transport to scrapbook events.

Very good cutter, still trying to get used to the sizing on the trimmer and how to use them, but the cutter itself is really great.If you're looking for a cutter, I would recommend getting this. However, beware on how many sheets you need to cut as this one doesnt seem to do a whole lot at once...

Just received my Dahle 550 an hour ago and I LOVE IT!!! I need it to trim my fine art prints, I use Epson Velvet Fine Art paper, and it cuts through it like butter! All the time spent researching for the perfect trimmer paid off... i was going to go with the Carl 12220, but I really liked that this had a self sharpening blade. Its light weight , but sturdy. Just can't believe how much I'm enjoying this.... I had a cheap paper trimmer previously and it left ragged edges on my velvet fine art paper. If you are needing something to trim your art prints, I would definitely go with the Dahle 550.

LOVE IT!!!!! The best darn paper cutter that I ever owned. I own an Etsy shop and need precision on cutting my planner and calendar inserts. Cuts the paper as if it is butter. This paper cutter is made well and very simple to use. I love how the measurements are on it and easy to read. I also like that fact that it is self-sharpening blade every time you use it. I will have this paper cutter for years to come! Worth the price. Oh and it is very easy to store when not in use.

Solidly built, stable, sharp cutter. I use it to make paper labels out of card stock, sometimes cutting two sheets at a time. It took me a bit of getting used to the automatic clamping, but after a bit of experimentation I used this feature to my advantage

I like this paper cutter a lot but there are a few things I don't like. The magnetic slide is fairly short, only 6 1/2 inches long, so if you have a standard 8 inch wide paper it is difficult to keep it perfectly straight. The magnetic slide also doesn't line up perfectly straight and tends to move while you're trying to keep everything lined up. In trying to cut a standard 8 1/2 by 11 into fourths to make pads, the cuts are always slightly off which means I don't get perfectly even notepads. I do like that it is self sharpening and makes a really clean cut with no sign of a ragged edge. Bottom line if you are making simple cards this cutter would be perfect but if you're trying to get 40 or more pages exactly the same size, which is what I was trying to do, it doesn't make the "cut" for me.

I am a paper crafter, so owning a good quality paper trimmer is a must. I've owned several paper trimmers through the years and this one far surpasses them all! I have never seen such a nice, clean cut, even on very thin cuts. The fact that the blade sharpens itself every time you cut is especially nice. No more having to find replacement blades every few months.Yes, the Dale 550 is a bit pricey but, after buying all the substandard trimmers, I can tell that buying this cutter one time will be cheaper than having to replace trimmers every couple of years.In short, I absolutely adore this cutter!

This is a fabulous trimmer! Very accurate and durable. The one thing I don't care for is the lock that the rotary trimmer places on the paper. Until you move the trimmer all the way down to the other end the paper is pinned down by the guard. Although I see the purpose for this it can be slightly annoying and slow things down when you're cutting smaller items. Otherwise, a fabulous product and I would absolutely buy it again.
