For $20 it appears to be a pretty nice rod. If it snaps in half I won't be too heartbroken for the price. We'll see how it holds up with some use. I only gave it 4 stars because I can't rate the durability yet.

A little stiffer than I wanted but works great as down rigger and lead line . Only thing is I wish Amazon would do a better job of packing the food, the box is 5ft and the rod is 4ft and just drop in without anything to keep it from sliding back and forth during shipping bearing the snot out of the end of the rod eye.
