Dake Machine Tools manufactures arbor presses, hydraulic presses, drill presses, power hammers, band and cold saws, belt grinders, tube benders, and auto feed systems. The company, founded in 1887, is headquartered in Grand Haven, MI.

I bought this 3 and a half years ago and use it to emboss mint tin lids for games. I've pressed over 5,000 lids and use a three foot cheater bar. This press is still as tight as its first day. No wobble at all in the ram and it's a joy to use.

This is a nice press. I use it to install press-fit threaded metal inserts into glass-epoxy G10 and printed circuit boards. Its working surfaces are machined well, and the mechanism operates smoothly with plenty of mechanical advantage.

I needed a small arbor press and this appears to be the last of its kind that's made in the USA. Smooth operation; beautifully made (if an arbor press can be beautiful) and will be around and working well long after I'm gone! Not exactly cheap but you get what you pay for. This is a quality tool. No Chinese junk here!
