These are my favorite knee pads. The picture shows what happened after a brutal crash, you can see the excellent protective layers. I am so glad I had these on during the impact, my knee is fully unscathed. This was the consequence of a brutal crash, the pads withheld many light crashes without any damage.The other reason I REALLY like these, is that the Dakine Agent O-O [On-Off] version can be strapped on your knees without having to take off your shoes. Most other knee pads [including the Dakine Agent non O-O version] are closed in the back and you have to slide your foot through them to get them on your knee. Which is a pain when driving to the trail or bike park you're riding at.One word of caution: One seller here on Amazon, "Daeche" has mislabeled the knee pads and is selling the cheaper "non O-O" version as the "O-O" version. I had them ship not once but twice the wrongly labeled item until I purchased them from a different vendor.

I ordered size small based on the sizing chart on Dakine's website. The thigh measurement for size small is perfect; however, the calf measurement is wonky. What individual who is athletic has bird legs that will fit such a small calf measurement? I have other pads that feel tight but stretch (the calf strap does not stretch). If the calf strap was longer, these pads would be perfect for (trail riding). Also, I bought these pads for the easy on easy off feature (where they are secured with Velcro straps where removing shoes is not required), but the Velcro is already wearing out after trying the pads on and adjusting the straps. My opinion is that the pads are designed to take off without removing your shoes on occasion, but doing so on a regular basis will cause the Velcro to wear out quickly. Additionally, I bought the pads to wear on an electric scooter, and the final deal breaker, is that these pads are NOT designed for standing (these pads are designed for sitting on a bike seat). If the the pads fit properly, or were designed to fit more body proportions (longer calf strap), they would be a good value; however, between odd sizing, the easy on off feature leading to Velcro wearing out, and the inability to wear the pads in a standing position, I do not recommend these pads. Dakine needs to improve the design to make these pads useful.

Las elegí porque pueden ponerse y quitarse con facilidad, no hay que traerlas puestas durante toda la subida, el problema de esta ventaja es el sistema de sujeción que puede disminuir su eficacia con el tiempo pero ya veremos. Excelente protección, pueden llegar a ser un poco incomodas en la parte de la espinilla al estar mucho rato de pie usándolas pero por eso es que se pueden remover fácil. Al pedalear o descender ni te acuerdas que las traes. Excelente relación costo beneficio, muy buen diseño y logotipos no tan invasivos, ademas al parecer la marca se preocupa porque los materiales usados tengan bajo impacto ambiental en su fabricación.
