I purchased this valve at the local hardware store, to replace my shower valve. After installation, I discovered that while it says "cold", when used in a wall-mounted shower faucet, it turns the wrong way. It would be correct in a sink faucet. For a wall-mounted faucet, get the hot valve to replace your cold, and vice versa.
