Measuring 2.75in X 4.72in (70mm x 120mm), these cards offer elegance and allure. The velvety box houses 350gsm art paper cards, featuring CMYK printing on both sides with a matte lamination finish and spot UV varnish in the back side of the cards. The deck contains 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana cards divided into four suits and extra 2 cards.

Cards are matte, and very thick. The edges are iridescent. Art is hauntingly beautiful with dark rich colors and exquisite symbolism.

They advertise this deck as a shadow work deck, and state that the art is made specifically for shadow work, but the entries in the book are sparse and give just a few keywords leaving you to fill in the blanks yourself.After just one overhand shuffle, several spots of the holographic edging had chipped off which is sad because I otherwise thought the cards had great card stock. And I'm not a rough shuffler. I just don't think they're worth the high price.

The suit of Cups is on page 43 and repeated on page 71. Page 71 is actually suit of Pentacles.The cards are very dark but beautiful to me. The error in the table of contents is just sloppy work.Oh well. Still like the cards. Box is excellent.

These cards are incredibly beautiful, very dark, and will be handy for shadow reads. I don't recommend this for beginners - the deck requires existing knowledge of the traditional system in addition to being able to read them from a perspective of shadow work. A beginner may find it a bit more of a challenge than necessary while learning. The cards themselves are beautiful. The art is stunning, and the lamination texture is superb. The cards are sturdy and feel lovely to work with in the hands, and the laminate is somewhat matte but not soft, making shuffling a joy. I highly recommend these for readers with some experience who are interested in shadow work. The box is lovely, matches the cards perfectly, and has a magnetic flap. Inside there's ribbon to make access to the cards easier, and the guide book is sufficiently substantial. Five very enthusiastic stars.(A note on shipping: if you get this deck, make sure it's part of a larger order so Amazon uses an actual box. This will protect the product from damage during transit.)
