Purchased this to augment backing behind my existing setup. I put a piece of this on either side of my existing setup to provide more protection left and right of the board, which seemed to do the trick for those novices tearing up my walls... Will probably purchase another set to go now above and below my existing setup. Hard when you're trying to teach new dart throwers and they are affraid to throw because they fear putting holes in the wall. This worked to help them go for it and learn how to spin and throw properly.

These dartboard wall protectors are exactly what I was looking for. The square panels are plush and thick, providing great protection for my walls. They are sized perfectly for a standard dart board. Even when a dart misses the board, it doesn’t penetrate all the way through, which gives me peace of mind.I also love that they’re black—they blend seamlessly into my game room setup and don’t draw unnecessary attention. The material feels durable and absorbs the impact well without damaging the darts.If you want a simple, effective way to keep your walls safe without compromising the look of your space, these are a great choice.

These dartboard wall protectors are constructed from a black felt material. Contrary to the description, they emit an odor and present several issues as follows. Customization was required to ensure their functionality.1. Size: The typical dartboard has a diameter of 17.75 inches, resulting in the protectors being approximately 3.6 inches larger on each side. The website’s photograph is misleading, as the dartboard is significantly smaller than the standard. It does not provide enough protection area at least three sides (typically top and two sides).2. Poor Quality Double-Sided Tape: Upon removing the white non-stick paper from the tape, the entire tape detaches, leaving no residue on the protectors. Consequently, I resorted to using 3M double-sided velcro for installation instead.3. Absence of Cutout: The dartboard is typically secured with a bracket in the center and adjusted by three screws at a 120-degree circumference. Since there is no cutout, I had to manually create a 17.75-inch diameter circular cutout, along with three notches for the screws, which was a tedious process.4. Thickness: The protectors are only 1/2 inch thick, allowing the nipple of a well-crafted/speedy dart to easily penetrate them. While they provide some protection, they are not an ultimate solution to safeguarding the wall.The final outcome was not that bad visually, albeit requiring significant time and effort in customization. Given the product’s current state, I can only rate it with three stars.

This dart board wall protector is exactly what I was looking for. The material is thick, heavy-duty, and really well made—I’m definitely not worried about my walls anymore. It provides great coverage around the dartboard and absorbs impact well, even with missed throws.The black felt tiles look clean and professional once installed, and they’re a great alternative to cork. Easy to mount and stays in place. If you want solid protection without sacrificing the look of your game room, this is a great choice. Highly recommend!

The Dart Board Wall Protectors, Black Felt Wall Tiles look and feel nice.It comes with two boards that are sectioned into 3 sections each and unfold out to approx 12inch x 36inch (its actually just shy of 12 inches and about 35.5 inches). They are about 0.5 inches thick and have adhesive strips running down the length of each side. They are light weight and should have no issue sticking to a wall.It did stop a dart from puncturing through from about a 6 foot drop.However steel tip throwing distance is 7' 9.25" and darts are thrown with more force than a drop.When I thew a dart with a little force, not much...I didn't intentionally try to puncture thru the felt...it did indeed poke thru the felt.The reason for only 2 stars:Even though they look nice and are easy to install...don't expect this to protect your walls. They are called wall protectors, but these will not protect your walls from a dart thrown with average force.These are also not wide enough for use with an electronic dart board, there is barely any protection on the side edges (soft tip boards are 15.5inch diameter and then some extra boarder depending on the model) .Granted I may still use these by mounting them on very thin particle board. These mats should slow down a dart enough that when it hits particle board that it should stop it from puncturing through and hitting your precious wall. (assuming avg throw strength, if you really chuck it, a strong dart throw will go thru a thin board...but then you're not really playing darts at that point.)overall, these are okay, but don't deliver.

Unfortunately, we didn’t measure our electronic dart board before ordering this Dart Board Wall Protector because our dart board is much too large for this wall protector as seen in my photo.Also note that the photo shown on Amazon for this product showing a dartboard mounted to the wall protector is only 15” in diameter and not the industry standard of 17.75 inches to make it look like there is more protection on the left and right side of the dartboard than there really is with an assumed standard dart board. So even a standard dartboard would only have just over 3.5” of protection on each side!It measures about 1cm thick and is dense enough so it should protect the wall behind it. However, because of the misleading photo and the fact that in reality you have only about 3.6” of protection on each side of a standard dartboard, I’m giving this a 4-star rating.
