Had to replace a timing belt I just replaced a year or so earlier due to a/c compressor locked up and wasn't sure if the timing belt jumped tooth (crank no start). Anyways got everything removed checked and lined up. Counted and marked my old belt to confirm how many tooth per side needed.Timing belts ARE DIRECTIONAL on how they are marked so take note of that. A lot of people think they should be able to read the letters from the passenger sidem but it should face engine side (not always the case for all makes).Triple checked all my timing marks and re-installed everything, checked my fuel took a few cranks but everything started just fine. Been a few days now so happy it runs again.

There are three lines mark on the Dayco timing belt making the installation much easy. All three line marks are matching the marks on two camshaft gears and the crankshaft gear. I am very happy when the engine of my Toyota Sienna runs smoothly after the timing belt replacement.

The belt comes with the Markers to line it up, but it was off by at least 2 notches which made the lines worthless. Returned, purchased Aisin Belt, which is used by Toyota, lined up correctly and worked great on the 6cly 2002 Sienna
