Daystar's Firewall Boot is the best way to run wires, hoses, and other lines through your vehicle's firewall. Simply drill a 1.25 inch diameter hole in the firewall and install the boot. Run your wires, trim the boot as necessary to one of three different sizes (3/8 inch, 11/16 inch, or 1 inch), and secure the assembly with a zip tie.

Product was delivered sealed in a box and was sealed in a bag.....but the bigger of the ends looks like a dog chewed it to length, you think when you pay $15 there would be some kind of quality control to what your selling.....I'm sure item will still work and be hidden under the hood but sure doesn't look all nice look the pictures.

We need to run wires into our JL for Aux/and heated seats. This was a very easy install and needed no mods or drilling, just pop out the small plastic cover on the top driver side of firewall, install grommet, feed wires through, and zip tie + electrical tape to keep dirt and water out.

So, if you have a JL wrangler and want to run some wires through the firewall on the driver's side AND HAVE AN AUTOMATIC transmission, there's a cap where the clutch stuff would normally go. If you pull that cap off, you can drill a hole and run your wires through... or... you can just throw the cap out and buy this goofy looking rubber boot.I can confirm it works great! Fits all the way up to the biggest part of the shaft. It does look goofy though.

Good quality, nice protection for wires through a metal hole. I like how you can cut the size of hole you need in it.

I purchased this product to run 1/0 wire though my chevys NBS firewall and the thing is you can run LEGIT high strand count 1/0 power wire through this if you cut down the first 2 nipples ends things back....but that's about it, the picture really doesn't do a good job showing you how small or big this (its deff on the smaller side). To me this is more for people that want to fish like 24-12awg wire through the firewall, with this small wire you could squeeze about 15 to 20 small wires through it but your not going to be sending more than 1 1/0 wire and maybe 8 to 10 12 awg wire. So the product is good for its designed intention but not for what I need so I am probably going to return it go with the Scosche WPG0-10 firewall boots, you get 10 in a pack for 10$ and they are also waterproof. The price could also bee cheaper I mean it is a piece of molded rubber but 16$ wasn't a deal breaker for me. Ill show a picture with 1/0 beside it later.Update is that i went to lowes and used a dishwater connection hose adapter thats like 5$ and is the same damn thing, and you can buy it today from lowes or home depot, to me 15$ is absurd for a piece of rubber.

I needed to pass some wires through the firewall of my truck and was going to use a gland type fitting to seal the cab from the engine compartment when I stumbled upon this.It looked too easy so I gave it a try. Wow, what a simple install. Used a stepped drill bit and cut out a 1.25" hole. Slipped in the grommet end and it was done.I spent more time finding a clear location. So my entire install time was about three minutes. Two minutes making sure there wasn't any wires or hoses in the way. Half a minute to drill a small pilot hole and to rechecking the location and the last half minute actually drilling the 1.25" hole.I also liked the fact I have room to expand if needed in the future. No need to re-drill another hole. Just slip the wires through and zip tie the end to keep water out.

This thing makes a secure and protective transition through the firewall into the engine compartment, its weather proof and chaffing proof.I bought several of these, 2 for my boat and one for my truck. Used them to make a waterproof and secure transition to the engine compartmentsand battery storage areas. I was impressed that all you have to do is snip it off at what ever thickness /diameter you need. The boat used the 1"diameter cut out to carry the 1" OD plastic conduit through. I used it to prevent chaffing and to make a water proof transition. WORKED REALLY SLICK !I used the other boot to run aux battery 6 gauge batter cables up through the roof rack to allow for charging of my deep cycle emergency second batteryboxes mounted on my roof rack. I use the aux battery box to run a AC/DC 12 V power converter. WARNING this thing is not small as it can handle multiplecable sizes. (ITS ABOUT 6"s LONG ) and requires you to drill a 1 1/4" hole to mount it "properly & securely". after that its real easy to use. You don'thave to, but I used a little weather striping adhesive to help secure it just in case I made the mounting hole a little too large.(NOTE: PRODUCT DESCRIPTION.)Trim-to-fit 3/8 inch, 11/16 inch, and 1 inch diameter wire bundlesProtects wires from sharp edges; prevents wire chafing and shortsWorks great for wires, tubing, and air linesRequires drilling a 1.25 inch diameter hole
