For the price this tweeter sounds really clean turned up. Never tryed daytona but seems they make a quality speaker for hlaf price.

I installed this in my Definitive Technology CLR 2002 speaker and it works/fits great!I had called Def Tech customer service and they provided no help, so I went out on a limb with this one and I'm very pleased!

Finally got a decent replacement for the tweeter in one of my Tannoy Mercury M20s. Almost a perfect plug-in replacement, the width of the mounting plate is close enough to look fine. The screw holes are very close but not exact, not a problem though. I would have liked confirmation of the connection polarity, no + or - markers on the connections but one was a narrow spade, the other standard width. Narrow is usually negative so I made that assumption, and it sounds great.

I installed these in a an older pair of Realistic MC-1000 speakers and they sound great. Had to enlarge the speaker openings slightly so they would fit, but not much.

Had to jury rig it after the ridiculously far out plastic tabs for the eletric connectors broke during normal handling. The other side is solid so my thought is its a manufacturing defect. The sound quality is very good for a $14 tweeter, however its in a workout room, so no focused listening to obscure jazz. I have replaced many speakers, built my own, built pre-designed cross-overs and of the dozens of speakers I have handled this is a first time I have seen this. BTW Dayton Audio makes other great stuff.

I went on a chance and bought these after reading a review from someone else who used them to replace a blown tweeter in their paridigm speaker. Same as me but I have monitor 9 v1s. They sound very crisp and bright. Even better than the factory tweeters. They needed a little tweaking to fit but they are in there and they sound extremely good for the price point. Very happy to have my home tower speakers working again
