Our old fan shutters were bent and weren't closing and opening correctly. This fit perfectly and now we get the better fan speed.

The unit was marked up and looked used. It installed easily and looks nice since you don’t see it up close. Does not come w screws for installation & is quieter than the one we replaced but not unnoticeable.

Our existing louver had become discolored and was beginning to rust after 30 years. The variable speed fan still works great so we'd been putting off doing anything. Then I found this--the exact dimensions of the old louver. Our son was able to remove the existing louver and install the new one in about 10 minutes. Measure carefully to ensure a good fit. The only issue was that no new screws were included, but that might have been because the packaging was open when delivered and any hardware or directions fell out. The louver itself had no damage. I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to improve the appearance of an old installation, and it works great!

Replaced the old, cracked, poorly-installed plastic one that was starting to hang down from the ceiling. The ceiling hole turned out to be uneven, so it took a couple of hours to work around that; but what an improvement! It's quieter, looks so much better, and stripping on the edges of the slats makes for a much better seal.

I would have given 5 stars had the first one I received not have been defective, it wasn't damaged in shipment either. All the slats on one side were not positioned on the pins that support them to the sides, I needed this thing in a hurry so I debated prying open the ends of the slats that were supposed to wraped around the plastic pins but then I noticed it actually shipped from a local supplier. I had todrive 30 miles to exchange the bad one for a good one but they were willing to do it so I wen't that route instead.The replacement was perfect and functions very well, it is a major improvement over the cheap plastic framed setup that originally came with my fan, so I would recomend the purchase as long as my defective one is an anomally and not an example of a more widespread quality issue.
