Ended up putting nail gun oil in my old one (on the spring loaded shaft)and working it by hand. It's been working fine for over a month now. But this new one did not work.

ZERO STAR. They made me enter at least one.I should’ve listened to the voice inside my head and never bought this part. I spent an hour and a half installing it onto my starter and into my machine a Kawasaki mule. It would not turn over the starter. I determined that this solenoid was sending .9 V to the starter motor instead of the full 12.8 V from my new battery. I purchased a real starter solenoid from Napa, and it works like a charm, for 10.00 more money than this was. Another lesson and a reminder that life is short and you can always make more money, so why skimp on buying the cheap stuff when you know it’s not gonna work in the long run. You’ll never get that waisted time back, even long afer the refund money is spent. Not to mention logging in, printing a label and boxing and delivering this paper weight to a UPS store all for 24.00 refunded back to me. Ha what a joke. They are all laughing at me. It is these kinds of companies that do this time and time again with inferior parts and screw over the general public that don’t sit down and write a review that exposes the results of their corporate greed. I am only sharing a warning to others who might fall into the same snare as I did. This is not really a rant on anyone specific but just the truth of my experience. The other reallity is that if I didn’t know how to check voltage on both sides of the solenoid coil wires, I may have gotten frustrated and felt that my whole starter unit was failed and bought an entirely new starter and waste of money. When in reality the solenoid was the culprit all along. Have a great day.

We used this for our older John Deere 160. She started right up no issues and was an exact fit. Easy to install. Pur dealer wanted over $220 to replace this part. Unreal.
