How To Use:
1. Prepare to connect the two wires of the actuator to a 12 volt battery
2.Blue wire to the positive terminal and grey wire to negative terminal will make the actuator extend. To make it retract, just reverse the terminal connections.
3.To simplify the last step, you can prepare a reverse polarity relay or switch (not included) for the actuator. When you want the actuator to extend and retract, just press the switch
4. Your actuator will hold its position when the power is off. It will automatically stop when reaches the end.
5.The actuator has pre-installed inner limit switch, it cannot be adjustable.
How to protect your actuator:
1. Please use the 12V DC power adapter
2. Please do not exceed the rated load
3. All the actuators have duty cycle, they are unable to work all the time without stop. The duty cycle of this actuator is 20%. it means that your actuator needs 4 minutes to rest for every 1 minute of work. If the actuator keeps working for long time, the motor is easily burnt out.

This was awesome. I bought it for a stage prop and I really needed the 10 inch reach and about 2 pounds of force, but hey, the 1,320 pound rating did the trick. We played with this before using it and it is super strong! The description says 12V and the motor says max 24V, so we tested both and both were fine. This unit has built in stop switches and you just reverse the current and it travels the other direction. Nice piece of equipment, I'm now looking for applications to install these in.

It extends 9 3/4 of a inch and draws 5amp. Description said extends 10in and 2.3amp draw.

The ram works great for the first 80 cycles at half load. Then the tip of the barrel begins to warp causing the ram to track off course. Now it’s done for and I have to buy another. This next time I will be trying a different linear actuator. One preferably stronger.

Good value for money, make sure you get min 3amp power adapter with it, mine blew away till I put higher rating.
