The Auger at first had power to do the job, I used it a few times to put maybe 20-30 posts in total over the few times. I recently tried to use it again and it barley has any power to even make the holes and the power switch to turn off doesn't work which has been an issue from the start. This thing is basically new and it already doesn't do the job. Extremely disappointed

So ive had this a few weeks now and done about 25 8” holes. For the money, the value is a no brainer. The auger and bits did ship separately, but were only 2 days apart for me. This is borderline a 2 person auger, it is powerful and has no safety or reverse. I am 6’2 and 250 lbs, this thing almost broke my arms twice. I did get it stuck twice in very hard clay and had to dig to free it. If it had a reverse, id gave 5 stars. It started up on 3rd pull out of the box, it’s easy to change bits.

I had purchased this tool for Father’s Day for my husband. First we didn’t realize the bits shop separately which wouldn’t be a huge deal except they didn’t arrive the same day, week, or month as the tool which makes the tool worthless. Being a third party Amazon doesn’t deal with shipping, seller or anything. That’s a huge inconvenience. We had to email the seller because the number in they provided sounded like some cheap cellphone that no one even answers. We get a stupid email back saying to contact FedEx. We call FedEx who lied saying delivery was refused when we told them we have a security camera and they never showed up the story changed to they sent it back to seller for unknown reasons. Then we emailed the seller who takes days to be bothered to respond. We contacted Amazon. Then we get a unknown call from mainland china with a angry person leaving a message in Chinese language which we don’t even speak. When we put in a complaint all of a sudden we get a email from the seller they were sending the bits right away. It took a month. As far as the Auger, it’s a descent Auger however my husband says if you hit a rock or hard surface you will know it because it will jolt you because it has no safety brake to prevent the jolt. The electric stop keeps coming disconnected. This isn’t top of the line tool but it’s affordable and good for the price. If you can find it somewhere else I would recommend it because I really do not like this 3rd party seller crap. It’s the worth thing Amazon could’ve done because there’s no one to help when you can’t contact the third party to get the items you pay for. I would never buy from this seller again.

This post hole digger works very well in soil, and takes seconds to bore a 30" deep hole. Everything worked well during my deck construction and as advertised in the direction booklet. The engine is great with a lot of power. You need to remember that it requires 4 oz. of 2-cycle oil per gallon of gasoline - which is different that my other small engines and chainsaw. The augers come in separate boxes; however, the box with the engine got smashed a bit by UPS in the delivery. I worked with the vendor and they sent me new plastic parts. The team was very helpful and corrected the UPS foul-up. I don't normally write these, but wanted to say this digger works really well, and the team was helpful in correcting the UPS issue.

I had previously bought another brand of auger that was the same price, it had less CC's and didn't come with any extensions, I hated it so I donated it to a friend and thought I'd try this one... It handles my hard clay and tree roots with ease, starts easy, has plenty of power to turn even the larger bits and is comfortable to hold on to... The ONLY thing I am not crazy about is it's a 25/1 oil mix... Everything else I have runs 50/1 so that's a little bit of a hassle having to have a separate fuel supply for the auger

I have only used the auger once so far and it worked great. I own and install small billboards so I purchased this auger to dig 3 foot holes for the poles. It did better than expected. The auger starts up on the first pull and digs very well. I use the 12 in bit and I add one of the extensions and it does exactly what I need it too. I will only use it a few times a month so hopefully it will hold up and last a long time for me!

Our land is full of clay and rocks. We have to do a fence around our pool for stupid city laws. We were able to bore the hole. We bought a hole shovel to remove the loosened aggregate.

I was skeptical, we did alot of holes right off, 78 in three hours…rock and some roots….just take your time, and yes let it go if it catches, i was afraid to ruin it, As we really need it, have a few thousand more to go…bought the 40-1 gallon gas at oreillys, we used almost half a gallon……it doesnt go bad, and gum up the engine…. Run it out and drain it for winter….amazing and well worth the price, the three augers sent with it were substantial, i wish they had a 4inch with the set , and for the price you cant to go wrong, take care of it, baby it, because an oobar,and a posthole digger, after 26 holes will truley knock your back out…

31 36 inch deep holes, I would drill a foot down then pour 2 gallons of water in the hole. After it sat for a while the auger would load all the rocks and dirt (mostly rocks) onto the blade, then I gently lifted it out of the hole and dumped the rocks off. Once I figured the technique out it worked great. I live at almost 9000 feet in the rockies, no loam here.Clay did stop it dead in it's tracks, but digging bars helped.If you can handle a jackhammer or demo saw, you can handle this. However if you don't have the strength it can be hazardous, keep that in mind.

Purchased this unit to drill some post holes and save my arms and back from manually digging. Was impressed with the amount of power generated by such a light motor.The bit extensions as well as versatility of having 3 auger bits was a bonus. I was hesitant at first because the auger bits look a bit lighter duty, but was impressed with how they cut into and augered the dirt!

I am pretty happy with the product and customer service. I ordered it for a huge project and had trouble with gas cable first and one of the extensions. I have contacted customer service and got the parts replaced right away! Was able to complete the project after all. The machine is powerful and does the required job very well!

I can't finish my review of the product because I never got a chance to Even use it because the Spring connecting the spark plug to the wire broke out.So after fixing the shady wiring myself, and getting the machine set up, it has very good torque and seems to run well.Fix the wiring and make the wiring more durable and id give this product at least a 4.
