DC circuit breakers are often used in the following applications:
1. Battery powered circuits, such as those found in households with solar panels. Battery powered circuits can also be found in households in rural areas without power grids.
2. The electrical components of vehicles are present in both gas and electric vehicles. Every car has a fuse box with a DC circuit breaker.

4. Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems typically use batteries. Even if UPS supplies power to AC equipment, it must store energy in the form of DC electricity in the battery pack.

These aren't just good for solar!I'm setting up my workbench as I redo my home office - and I'm setting up a separate electrical supply for it; AC outlets and such, and 24V for lighting, etc. With its own little breaker box and switch, it means I can easily turn it off and/or unplug it, and thus ensure that all soldering irons and so forth are powered down, and ensure that oscilloscopes, AWG, meters, etc. are disconnected from mains (in case of a surge/lightning strike). These are JUST the thing for the DC side of that equation!

I presume this is really geared for solar users. At 60amp and 1000V max, this is a suitable breaker for cutting off power and overload protection for your charge controllers.I am currently using these no 40A of 48v (60v open circuit) panel arrays. I did not actually test overloading the circuit as I do not have that much amperage available - but they definitely work great for nice way to on/off the feed when you need to re-arrange things and want the power flow cut off.Connectors work and hold well - good budget breakers for solar.

Nice little set of breakers. Look good (Red and White) easily distinguishable from the others - mostly blue and white. I ordered these because I needed some relatively low amp breakers on the DC side of my 48 volt solar system; they provide about 750w a piece. Using one for my small army of buck converters and a 48 volt golf cart solenoid I'm doing some experiments with. The other feeds my DC lights – so I don't always need to run so much through inverter.Each breaker comes with a 4” din rail and some nice marine grade heat shrink. They fit snuggly on the supplied din, but they're a bit looser than I like on my standard din – not a problem since they're sandwiched in between some sour dough breakers. This set of DC Miniature 2 Pole Circuit Breakers comes complete with two mounting rails and cable terminators sized for 10AWG cable for an easy, secure electrical connection. The wire terminals are easily big enough for 8AWG cable ends. Heat shrink tubing is provided for sealing the cable terminators after crimping.I like the easy readability of the switch condition. It is easy at a glance to determine if the switch is on or has tripped. The two pole design interrupts both the positive and negative electrical feeds to completely isolate the solar panel electrical input. The ON/OFF switch has a crisp, satisfying snap when actuated. All of the hardware looks durable.

This review is for two JOTTAELE brand 2 pole, DC miniature circuit breakers (1000V 32 Amp)I don’t have any experience with JOTTAELE brand products and the breakers do not include safety or test data, so use at your own risk.I attached the breakers to some DIN rail I had handy and they went on no problem. The breakers operate normally. Manually tripping each breaker was easy. I did not find any defects in material or workmanship. The included DIN rails, insulated connectors and heat shrink tube are convenient but definitely low budget items.I am going to use the breakers as secondary over current protection and secondary solar disconnects near my solar charge controllers. My panels have PV fuses and a PV disconnect switch.

I got these to disconnect the solar PV panels from the charge controller and batteries on my solar setup. These breakers work perfectly for that. They do not feel cheap, and furthermore the tripping function works instantaneously to protect connected equipment. A nice addition are the rails, connectors, and heat shrink tubing. For the price and quality I consider these breakers to be of good value.
