Why does the product whistle?
- The original explanation was a bit confusing and disorganized. The revised version simplifies the cause and resolution of the whistle.
- Added clarity around installation and placement of the horn to prevent whistling.
- Made the language smoother and more natural for understanding.
Reminder:
- Wiring & Fuse: The product comes with 16 AWG wiring and a 15A fuse, suitable for standard use in most vehicles.
- For Heavy Duty Use: If you are using the system for extended or high-power use (e.g., heavy vehicles, prolonged sound usage), we recommend upgrading to 14 AWG or 12 AWG wiring to avoid potential overheating.
- Current Load: The product typically draws 10A at 12V and 14A at 14V. Ensure your vehicle’s electrical system can handle this load to avoid performance issues or damage.
- Installation: For safety, use proper wiring and fuses during installation. If unsure, consult a professional.
Note:
- Before connecting, please verify the voltage of both the battery and the alarm unit to prevent damage. Avoid connecting other vehicle lines to ensure stable voltage and prevent low current from affecting the product's performance.
- First, connect the horn and the flashing lights, then secure the wiring with insulating tape. Finally, connect the power supply.
- It is recommended to install the host unit in the driver’s cabin without grounding. Turn off the unit when the car is off to avoid affecting the vehicle’s startup or shortening the host’s lifespan due to prolonged standby.
- Install the horn in a position where water is unlikely to enter to prevent short circuits caused by water exposure.
- Typically, vehicles such as cars, vans, and motorcycles use 12V systems, while trucks and heavy equipment use 24V systems. Please check the battery label to confirm the correct voltage.
